A friend and I today booked one way tickets to Shenzen to attend a friends wedding and keep a promise. I did not get a return as we are going overland to Hangzhou (which would have been triple cost to fly to) and the plan is to get a one way ticket back to Bangkok from Hangzhou once the wedding is over.
Even if I'd got a return I'd still be re-entering Thailand on a single ticket.
Australians tell me they have entered Thailand one way from Oz with no problems yet the British say you can not do this from Britain.
What is the case from China? ...Will I need to get a HZ-BKK-HZ return to get back here or can I come back on a one way? Should I go to the Thai embassy in Shanghai and get a 90 day visa (if that's possible?).
I also hear it is much harder to get a China visa now - something to do with Tibet, but apparently travel agents can get it for you for 200 baht so I hope this is the case.
Cheers,
Scampy
