    Wink Are you medomalacuphobic?

Do you suffer from any phobias? If so, which ones? How do they affect your life, or have you managed to conquer them?

Maybe some members have athazagoraphobia (the fear of being ignored). Some of our male members certainly seem to have cacophobia (fear of ugliness).

I always thought I was claustrophobic (fear of enclosed spaces), but it seems I'm actually cleithrophobic (fear of being trapped or locked in an enclosed space). I also have a fear of death (thanatophobia) and a fear of dead birds - don't ask! - which doesn't seem to exist for anyone else.

There are some interesting ones here: The Indexed Phobia List-

BTW, the one in the title is the fear of losing an erection

I've never lost an erection yet!

Luckily it always seems to be in the same place I left it.

I have nothing to say, but thought I would point that out, because you are probably all wondering what I was going to say about it.

Damn - that was two lines - I need to work on keeping my posts shorter....and more frequent.......

I have a phobia against needles, especially if a nurse or Doctor is holding the said weapon, I have fronted people with guns pointed at me and not been scared, yet if I see my girlfriend getting out the needles for insulin injections for the dog I have to run upstairs like a girly

Yeah I used to be afraid of needles, fainted a couple of times, but have 'overcome' this.

Much less scary when you do it yourself.

I'm quite afraid of being immobilized.

There are some amusement park rides where the attendant straps the riders in with these giant horsecollars -- down over your head and onto your chest.

For the rides that flip you around and shake the hell out of you. Or send you up 200 meters into the sky and drop you like a ragdoll off a skyscraper.

I don't much remember the rides as I was panicking about not being able to turn my head or scratch my nose. Just wanted the fcuk outta that thing.

I'm well beyond considering those childish thrills again.

A slight fear of flying. I also try not to use red ink when I write a person's name now. A Chinese-Thai told me red is used to write the names of dead people. Most Thai people I mentionthis to haven't heard of it. It may be a Chinese belief?

Too many to share with the world but mainly fear of flying - Aviophobia, Fear of public speaking - Glossophobia and fear of water - Hydrophobia. I dont write my name in read ink either but that has more to do with reading Dennis Wheatly when I was younger.

Do you know what 'phobia' means?

    You'd be a Willyphile.
