Do you like having your hair cut?

I love the whole experience, lying back in that sink to have it washed - even if the water is a little on the cold side, then the head massage and numerous shampoos and conditioners followed by the towel dry, ear finger and turban.

Once ushered to the chair, it gets even better, the vibration of the clippers on the back of your neck, it makes me feel dozy and I am tempted to close my eyes and drift of but I dare not do that because if there's one minus side to a Thai barber it's that they don't stop cutting and you need to stay awake to keep some of your hair.

Difficult though isn't it, you know enough has been taken off but the sensation is hopelessly addictive.
"I'm an outsider by choice, but not truly. It's the unpleasantness of the system that keeps me out. I'd rather be in, in a good system. That's where my discontent comes from: being forced to choose to stay outside.
My advice: Just keep movin' straight ahead. Every now and then you find yourself in a different place."

Yeah, those damn barbers never know when to quit. I've been dozing off in the chair since 1995.

I hate it. It's a waste of time and I have too many other things I'd rather be doing. I hate to be fussed over and I definitely do not want the process to include any shampooing, shaving, ear digging, massaging or anything other than a quick and dirty hair cut.

I've finally found a decent, no-nonsense barber. I'm in and out of there in ten minutes for 40 baht. Just my style.

I quite enjoy it. Listening to the girls talk about wanking their bf's off and other stuff. The head massage is not bad either.

I only got mine cut in Thailand once. It was great. She spent the entire 20 minutes with her pussy region (she was wearing jeans) pressed firmly against my left and then right elbows. Lucky I had one of those white haircut capes on to conceal my boner (at least I hope it did)

I think she was trying to get a decent tip and her efforts were not in vain

The worst is when they drop the foking huge book in your lap and tell you to choose a style...If they can't look at a client and know the style that suits him/her they shouldn't be working in a hairdressers...

Must admit I do enjoy the massage bit though...

You're way past the age where you need to worry about having a style, mate.

When I lived in Thailand, I used to get a Number 2 for 40 baht. The same thing in Australia costs $11.00 (about 330 baht). Fuck that. I bought a set of electric clippers for $35.00 and get Mrs J to cut it for me.

I got this girl from Beijing to wank me off on our second date on Saturday which was a good result I thought ( I think true romance could be in the air ). Anyway due to female company being a bit thin on the ground lately the backed up pressure meant that I blew it in her hair from a distance of about 18 inches.

She was a bit taken aback but I assured her as she was rinsing it out that the rich proteins would leave her with a zesty shine that would be he envy of her friends. She was not convinced and asked to be driven home pronto I have got her reluctantly talking on the phone again though.

I use clippers as well, usually cut my own hair. Actually, shave would be a better word, i just take it all off.

Hate it, I have cut my own hair since I was 14. I had it cut a couple of times when I first came to Thailand and didn't have any clippers, but they managed to do a pretty piss poor job of a number 2 all over so I haven't gone back since.

I'm with you on this. Would never cut my own hair either. Haven't had a hair cut in over a year and a half. Looks much neater than the odd every four or five months growth I'd accumulate before reluctantly going.

^It looked like it hasn't been cut in a decade ffs!

Anyway, getting your hair cut and washed is one of lifes little pleasures. On a hot day, getting your hair washed with cold, cold water was just the best.Especially, when it was done by a cute little thing....

The rest of you that don't enjoy that.....well your either weird or a poove....

The Missus cuts my hair and I often doze off as its such a pleasant experience. Much like having a manicure or massage.

I used to hate it in Europe, expensive and boring

BUT when I first went to Asia (KL) it was a revelation. Pretty girls, lots of attention and a good cut, besides a nice massage of the head etc

I look forward to it now

Definitely don't enjoy it. Never have - I just get the 40b dry cut but once got the whole monty with the girl trending me up by gelling and spiking it. When I walked out the missus and kid burst out laughing. Luckily I had my ever present baseball hat handy.

In Korea, mid-80s, the full monty was about five dollars.

It was a whirlwind. About five young women would massage you for 5-10 minutes one on each limb and one on your scalp. Then the barber would slide in while two girls grabbed your hands for a manicure. When the haircut was finished the massage team would be back for a second go and brush off any remaining hair. Seemed there were five girls hanging off you until the moment you stepped out the door. They were very pretty too. This was on an air force base. In off-base barbershops, blowjobs were widely available. Now my purpose for being there would be a dead giveaway as I don't have much hair to cut.

That was all before the Seoul Olympics ruined the country for good. All downhill from then. Ahh, the misfortune of progress.

    Nice one.

I know barbers traditionally used to discretely offer you some condoms ('something for the weekend?') but I am glad the gnarly toothless old geezer who used to do me never offered to duck his head under the sheet and blow me whilst sweeping up the clippings*

There weren't no pretty Korean girls in this place

*although in the desperate sexual frustration that was my youth I might have had to think about for a moment.
