I see caged birds all the time.

Another thing they seem to do is clip their wings to prevent flight.

Seems awfully cruel to me but then the Thais don't care for their fellow man so what chance have animals got?

Sounds like a sea eagle of which there are a number about used to be one in a bar in Soi bakhou which was loose and you could feed it squid after which it would shit everywhere. In real life you can see a pair nesting on the north side of Bum island

a fucking german talking about locking up and torturing innocent creatures!

why didn't you drop a little Zyclon B in to the cage? would have solved the problem. A bit drastic, so leave that option as the final solution.

I presume you did not visit JJ Market when they had the old pet section before International agencies intervened and asked the Thai Authorities to do something about the appalling cruelty on display? Not to mention the sale of wild and endangered species etc, etc.

You've missed the point if you think it is about individual acts of kindness, it's about their society as a whole and when it comes down to it they fail at every level. Greed is king here, Human Rights take a back seat. As for animal rights, then you must be trolling, right?

While I agree with most of your stance this is not harmful or cruel to the bird, It's just a matter of trimming the flight feathers on the back of the wing so the bird can't fly, they grow back constantly...

My neighbor has a bird business and takes very good care of his birds as without them he has no business, but he is an exception and not the rule for the most part.

I went to the zoo with my boys and it was discusting how the animals and especially the big cats were being caged in very small quarters or in the case of the tiger on a very short chain all day laying on a hard table being a picture attraction.. I have had a lot of snakes as pets too over the years and the one's there had some bad parasites on their scales..

I took pictures but have too much trouble posting them up here, as I tried once before so sorry I can't share..

There are many children in the UK that believe in Father Christmas, that doesn't make them thick, just gullible.

Surely someone super-intelligent such as yourself would have no trouble posting pictures, especially as us morons manage to do it easily? Just a thought...

Andy I think you should sit down, there is something I have to tell you, I can't think of a nice soft way to do this and it may come as a bit of a shock to you, now sit down Andy and take some deep breaths.

    In

    out

    in

    out

are you feeling calm now Andy?

If not please scroll up again and continue with the breathing, all nice and slowly.

DrAndy, I don't know how to break this to you and it may come as a bit of a shock.

There really is no Father Christmas, it is an evil trick parents play on their children, sorry to be the one to break this news to you, I do hope you get over the shock of all this....
