Thaksin Shuts Down More Than 800,000 Obscene Websites

Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra has said that more than 800,000 websites deemed "inappropriate," will be shut down. He has warned website hosts not to allow any inappropriate messages or pictures to show on theirs websites.

The premier said that the bottom line is to eradicate obscene media which may mislead youths. He said that those who post inappropriate pictures or messages on the website will be seriosly punished.

He has assigned the Minister attached to the Prime Minister’s Office, Mr. NEWIN CHIDCHOB (เนวิน ชิดชอบ) and Metropolitan Police to strictly inspect websites.

Moreover, youth network can inform any details of inappropriate websites at thaicybercop.com or hotline No. 1111.

I don't give a rat's arse about Toxin Shagga-wot and his filthy policies that changes every now and then. Every move he makes is always beneficial to his family. Gov't's paying millions of Baht / month to UBC for giving free services in the deep south!!!!!! One should sit and figure out who's the owner of UBC!

So does that meant that if a TD member started posting pictures of themselves naked or other people naked that they would have to be banned to ensure that TD was not shut down due to this new law?
