How many of you on TD actually give a shit about teaching in Thailand - or more specifically how many of you are teachers here?
Ken v. Smeg has an interest of sorts to the Teflers amongst us but I think that's quite a low percentage of the board members really.
I'm a teacher and think it sucks but it'll do for the time being - anyone on a nice little earner out here living the good life?

I do work at a tutor, though right now.
I'm a teacher. I have a TEFL, but also have a California State teaching credential. I'm only here for a year, though, unless teaching salaries dramatically increase or I get one of those coveted international school gigs. I like my job, but after a year I'll probably be heading to Japan or back to Korea where they actually pay me a decent wage.
Hell, everyone wants 'qualified' teachers...

I think I am a teacher, If I am not I hope my uni fires me. I will collect 10 months salary with no tax deducted. But in all seriousness I do stand in front of 18-25 year olds and do my thing. 70% are tourism and hotel management classes, but yes the remaining 30% I am presenting V1, V2 and V3 with a bit of communacative activities thrown in.

Few companies tried to get me to 'teach systems.' I learned very early on, I do not fucking teach! Got wrote up once for not teaching. Told the fucker he could have his job and is idiot salarymen that wanted to be taught. You wanna learn? Takes work.
