Members Only Go-Gos and Bars

This is probably something only Macha could answer, but there might be other darkies lurking about.
I've never been turned away from a place in Pattaya, but I have been told by doorman that their place is members only in Soi Cowboy and Nana. Some of the bars are now almost all Japanese clientele, so they try to turn away any non-Japanese. But some are farang oriented and still tell me they are members only on some nights. Other nights, I would have gals trying to drag me in at the same bar/go-go. Doesn't make sense to me. I don't know if they turn me away at times cause I look like a nutter or if it was a race issue. I actually hope its a race issue. It would be a bit depressing to think that I look like a madman just walking down the street.

I have been in bars when Indians were there, and they have tried to sneak out without paying, or have been disrespectful to the girls etc.

I'm fairly sure there is or at leasrt was a bar near the entrance of nana plaza on the right hand side. Had lots of signs up saying "No Arabs" "Arabs are not welcome", that sort of thing.

Soi Cowboy can be a bit wierd and, in all seriousness, because I'm whiter than white, I can go anywhere, except for Japanese bars and massage places and the odd korean place, unchallenged. It's not until you fellows of color actually bring it to my attention that there are racist double standards.
I met an African American (negro, for all you old guys!) on Cowboy on New Years eve some time back and he asked where he can get a drink. I laughed and said "There's 40 odd bars right in front of you"
"they won't let me in!" he replied.
After all the times I'd been there I had never noticed. (pussy does that to you)

Well, I can tell you for a fact that there aren't any members bars on Cowboy.
There's a few non racist bars down soi 3/1 though!

I was furious so i interferred (?) and started shouting at the staff. Few minutes later the manager appeared on the scene and asked me why I was shouting. He then explained that they have had a bad experience with blacks and south asians. They don't allow them anymore.

Anyway, the racist bastard didn't allow them. I went in had a couple of drinks, bar fined a girl and asked one of the staff to call the manager outside cos i need to tell him somthing important. The guy turned up!!!!! I told him that I'm a south asian (from pakistan) and just bar fined one of his girls and if he can stop me. The guy only smiled and replied "you don't look like pakistani". I had nothing to say but to take the girl with me and shag the bitch hard for working in a racist bar.

Just to get back on topic, I have Thai friends who have been refused entrance to go-go bars in Soi Cowboy, although nicely dressed (office attire) and polite. They get around it now by speaking English with a Jap accent.

Unfortunately, there is an element of racism here in Thailand, sometimes it is a result of peoples experiences, sometimes not. In my friends case, I guess they may have had problems with Thais getting drunk and starting fights. Fortunately this is never a problem when Caucasians drink......

Thais have the opportunity to find girls in their own comfortable surroundings ie karaoke bars you wouldn't set foot in or barber shops you never see.
The prices are either dirt cheap or, in the case of the well-heeled, ridiculously expensive.
There's a member club karaoke near my place where the membership is around 40K.
I don't know what they get for their baht but that's a lot of pussy just for being a member!
