Things I will miss in Thailand - in pictures -Part 1

The things that people will miss, when they live in Thailand, has been discussed before, and quite recently, in some depth. I want to put that into perpective and share these images from the area around my home town.

    Autumn

    Low sun at mid-day

    Visits to Santa

    Carol singers

    Last minute shopping

    Snowmen

    Lights in shopping centres

    Lights on houses

    Lights on vehicles

    lights on ugly warehouses

lights that look like the're held by art alone

    Strange birds on the street

    festive shop windows

    seasonal nesting boxes

and, last of all, scraping the snow and ice of the path and hobbling back indoors with frozen feet, to warm up by the fire.

These are a few examples that I have managed to capture. Please feel free to add yours.

I'm glad to get away from most of that, and the lights here look much nicer imo, but each to their own.

Empoorium had a huge Lego display a few months back, featuring a Lego Suvarnabhumi airport.

Plenty of strange birds on the street if you look in the right places. Saw five katoeys in just one small part of Sukhumvit last night.

I think the strange birds are dolphins, Loomy...

Ignore the Philistines. I thought the pics were lovely. Funnily enough, I never miss it though, I completely forget how beautiful Britain can be until I get back there.

Lovely pics, LoomBucket... Thanks for those.

Are they taken in the US?
