    Chicago: My Kind Of Town

Chicago is a city that I love dearly. Although some things I love to miss! I am going to share with you some places in Chicago that I miss the most.

Here is the Chicago Theatre. One of the first jobs I had, was working at a pawn shop across the street from the Chicago theatre. I ate breakfast next to the theatre every morning with a coworker named Al Bianco. He thought he was a made member of the Italian mafia, but really he just worked at the pawn shop for 20 years.

If you go to Chicago, you should take a tour cruise on the Chicago River.

Another must see is Navy Pier. Here is a day picture and a night picture. My wife really loved the ferris wheel.

There are many hotels in Chicago that I could recommend, but if you are going to Chicago, go first class. Stay at the Palmer House. The Palmer House has 1639 rooms and 88 suites. It is located 17 East Monroe Steet in the Loop. Room rates are a bargain for being in the heart of the Chicago theatre district and range from $139 to $359. There is self park and valet parking available.

And is located minutes from Marshall Fields (bought out by Macys' a few years ago)

I have talked about Chicago style deep dish pizza before and nothing says "deep dish pizza" more than Ginos East Pizzeria!

For an even bigger slice of the pie, I suggest one of my personal favorites - Giordano's.

Is that the same Giordano's as at Fishermans Wharf in San Fransisco chi?

Unfortunately, all I've seen of Chicago is somewhere I do not miss- O'Hare.

If you feel the urge to pack a few more pounds on, then head on over to Ed Debevic's. If you think Americans are rude and bossy, then this restaurant will confirm it. All the staff are actors and actresses (or they want to be!) and put on a good show. Ever seen the show with Mel's Diner? Kiss my grits? The staff throw hot rolls to you and speak in a rude manner. It is all for fun, so don't lose your cool!

Ghirardellis? is Chocolate. Best Deep dish pizza in the SF bay area is Zachary's All East Bay establishments, I'm afraid. Damn you Chi, I'd almost pushed those pizzas out of my mind...

Chi, you're sick man. It all looks great. I'm trying to lose weight but if I could walk out the door and have some of that pizza and one of those sloppy cheesy chilli dogs I'd throw my hopes away instantly.

Chicago looks appealing except that its The Windy City and its freakin cold half the year there!!!

Exactly! And that pizza looks like it contains about 7kg of pure cheese.

But yeah, has a certain 'oh fock this is going to clog my arteries but I don't care because it's so friggin' tasty' appeal to it.
