Do you think 55minutes is too short a transfer time at Taipei airport for bags and such like to get onto the other plane?
The missus is due over here with the intention of flying to Scotland the next day. She would get into Seoul at 22:15 and stop at an airport hotel overnight before flying out the next day.

The 13:25 flight is a lot nicer with the not having to wait around Taipei airport but I'm a bit worried that there won't be enough time to find the correct gate and for the bags to be moved over to the other plane.

It' would be a particurarly crappy day for her having to get to the BKK airport at 6:30 and arrive in Seoul at 22:15 - long day for a five hour flight (it is only 12,000B)

Whadga think. Will it be pushing our luck? There is another flight into Seoul from Taipei at 11:40 so missed bags would arrive but our flight to Scotland will be at 14:00 so would be cutting it fine for check-in and bags if they came late.

    8:30am flight or 13:25 flight

50 minutes is cutting it too fine, if there is no back-up plane. Minimum 1.5 hours under current conditions, I'd say.

That's what I thought, however I would risk it myself, but I don;t think it would be the nicest thing for her to do.

Found a flight the day before that leaves BKK at 7:30am with 1:45 layover it Taipei so that's reasonable, I just have to book my tickets one day earlier instead.

    Sorted.

A few years back I travelled from BKK to Vienna to Amsertdam to Luton to Kingscross to Newcastle

Vienna to Amsertdam - 45 minutes
Amsterdam to Luton (on Easyjet so had to change) - 40minutes
Luton to KKcross (on train) 1 hour to catch the train I had booked to Newcastle.

Made all the connections including being harrassed by security at all the airports.
