| What's the shittiest airport in the world? Talking about international ones, not some dust track and tin shack in remote Africa... For me, Paris CDG has got to be the shittiest of all international airports.... Just shite... When you need to make a connection you have to fight to get on a couple of buses, get shunted all the way round the airport and then end up about 100 yards from where you started.... Even the lounges are shite in CDG... Schipol and Hong Kong are up there with the best IMO.. What do you reckon? |

| I used to spend way to many hours at Chiang Kai-shek IAP in Taipei. It used to be the crappiest, most unfriendly, dimly lit, hard chair, horrible food airport on earth. They've made great strides over the past five years and now it's merely pretty bad. |

| San Francisco is pretty bad. It's possibly the ugliest airport I've ever been to. London Heathrow is bad too - I hate traveling long distances between terminals, and what's even worse, having to get on a tram to get to a terminal (LHR is guilty on both counts). The one in Taipei is shit as well --- it's small, and there's absolutely nothing to do. Ho Chi Minh is like that too. I'd agree that the best is Schipol in Amsterdam. Every few gates they have a bar serving up Heineken on draft. Incheon in Seoul is pretty good too. It's really big, but very easy to get around. Tons of shops and internet cafes so you can kill time while waiting for your flight.

| Oh I forgot one. Honolulu, Hawaii --- this takes the cake as the shittiest airport I've ever been to. First off, when I went to BKK from Honolulu the departure gate was somewhere in an underground garage -- I shit you not. Secondly, when you arrive in Honolulu you have to walk about a mile around the airport to actually get to the baggage area, and then finally to the exit. It makes no sense. |

| Oh Fuk | Quote:
The terminal consists of a concrete toilet block, dismal dirty grey, prob painted white a long time ago, no windows. Just a mass of humanity fighting to get their bags from a concrete bin, far too small for the large plane that has recently disgorged them. Mind you, that is charming compared to trying to get out; the thugs (immigration officers) are determined to search your bags before checking in, not for contraband (there is little to take out) but for items they chance upon that they then slip into their voluminous pockets with a twisted grin. No complaints there There is a presidential terminal nearby, a beautiful glass and cement structure that gleams in the sunlight, but that is only for the president, sorry. Quote:

| Dhaka Intl., Bangladesh. Don't even think of going within 50 meters of the dunnies, imagine gallons of stale vindaloo swilling around & you'll get an idea. A real-time flight arrival/departures board might be nice. |
