As a companion to the 'University of what' thread, I thought this might be a way to get to know each other a little more also. (It must be my 'opening yourself up' period.)
I know a lot of you already know each other, some quite well, but for the sake of those that don't, and in the spirit of open communication let's hear about what each other does for a living (and where, if you're so inclined).
I'll start. Sales and marketing manager for S.E. Asia for an industrial application electrical product (switchgear) manufacturing Co.
I'm based in China (South) and Travel extensively through S.E.Asia as part of my Job.

I'm retired. Been in LOS for nearly 14 years.

Got fed up with the UK Covernment and so retired early.

now back in the UK since early this year

Was then, and still am, Entertainment Whore by Trade (bartending, beach resorts, party organiser, that sort o' thing)

Started as an Aircraft apprentice - racing motorbikes as a hobby - went to DMW Motorcycles to build their racing bikes - went to BSA and built and tested the first Rocket 3- somehow got into Hydraulics and worked as a Service/development manager for CAT- building and developing prototypes - mainly mining machines -(16 years) did the same for Rolls Royce on military engines and generators for a further 5 years -then a consultant on dodgy engineering claims for various insurance companies for the next 13 years- retired in 2000 and moved to Thailand ( from Malaysia) still do the occasional consultancy jobs.
Based over the years in The Netherlands- Switzerland -Saudi- Peru- El Salvador- Lebanon - Greece- Egypt - Tanzania - China - Malaysia and Taiwan

Company I'm employed by (>30 yrs. now) is bringing another drillship to Brazil and after this contract, I might 'set the slips/lay the Kelly down' & shift back permanently to my little moo ban in Suphanburi.
