Exclamation CCTV prevents a friend for ever coming to Thailand again

Here is an email I have just received from a very good friend in UK it surely must act as a warning to others to be on the look out for the CCTVs that are springing up in all sorts of bars i know I will never have one installed

Hi Mate nice to see you but it will be the last time as I had a big problem going home. Via the internet, I discovered a few bars that had streaming web cams. I wanted to show off a bit to my mates back home, so I arranged a time for them to view me in the bars getting pissed and frolicking with all the pretty birds. I made sure I “hammed it up” with the ladies right in front of the web cams. That was the biggest mistake I’ve made in my life, and at the time, I had no clue. Here’s what happened.
All went well during my trips to Bangkok and Pattaya, but the problems all started at the new airport whence leaving for home. I arrived at the exit visa desk, and I was soon escorted by three Thai police to a private and strange room. They kept me in the room for almost an hour asking me all sorts of personal questions about my holiday in Thailand.
They queried me about where I had visited; which bars I had patronized; which girls I had brought back to my hotel room; and more silly questions. I gave all very honest and forthright answers, since I knew I had done absolutely nothing wrong.
Then, the three police took me to some official who took my passport and stamped it with the wording”persona non gratis Thailand” (in Thai) Then, I was taken into some horrible holding cell for several hours. After that I was escorted to my flight and sent home.
Upon arrival back into the UK, customs did a complete search of me, my camera, laptop, everything. This searching took most of the day, and finally I was released.
Then it gets much, much worse. Two days later the police arrived at my place of employment with a search warrant and seized my work computer and all my external hard drives. Trying to explain to my employer what this was all about was a major challenge and disaster, and I was soon relieved of my job.
Then, the police arrived at my flat with a search warrant and examined the entire contents of the flat. They seized my computer, and to this day it hasn’t been yet returned. I was then escorted to the local cop shop for further questioning about my Thailand holiday.

So how does this all tie into the CCTV? The reasoning behind this so called harassment remains a mystery...

If your going to troll at least have an ending.....

He's posted the same post on TV under the name terrenova. The general consensus over there is the same as here.

Good detective work. Looks like another bar owner that can't afford to install CCTV so is running down those that can, eh!

But the email is utter bullocks and not very good fiction.

There's half a dozen bars in Thailand with web cams, so we can only assume that Thai immigration are watching them, and also that this guy must be so deformed or ugly that they actually recognised him in the airport from an extremely low definition live feed webcam, damn they will be running interpoll within a year

I have always been suspicious of anyone or anything taking pictures of me. Maybe I'm paranoid but was always concerned pictures could get into the "wrong" hands.

Shouldn't this thread be in MKP as it's the most moronic post i've read in a while. I'm no good at trolling but i'm sure with a bit of effort even i could have come up with something better than this.

Love these threads this one should go in famous threads immediately We can all hammer on the lack of artifice used in the one of the lamest of all trolls ever and get to feel really really good about it. I means it's OK to abuse a troll right?

No one would ever allow you to abuse one as obviously creatively challenged otherwise. Kinda like Laughing at the MR bus in middle school.

    Hi,

Just wanted to post up a few words. I've lived in Pattaya for a couple of years now and own a bar in the Siren Boxin complex on Beach Road just before the entrance to Walking Street. I'm well known on other boards but found this one only recently.

Well, I'm off to have a good look at the content.

    Cheers

    Andy

So why can't I find this thread on the Pattaya boards he posts regularly on?
Sounds like a troll to me. Maybe someones got hold of his password.
