Usher - I hear this song many times a day when out and about in the LOS.

That was nostalgic.
C'mon, Chitown - anything but that
When I was there, you couldn't get away from this one, I think it means 'do you want to let me be with you?'
My favourite song by the same band, I think it means 'lying dog'

"No romance without finance, you got to have a J-O-B if you want to be with......."
The ever popular One Night In Bangkok from 1984 (excuse the Lion King Clips!!)
And sometimes you get this bastardized version
I recommend this version - someone did a great job of the video for it.
Zombie by The Cranberries - God only knows why, it's a mediocre Irish Britpop song that the Thai's have been wanking over for years now along with that one hit wonder 'Whats Up' by the 4 Non Blondes and Better Man to name a few.
I have Zombie on my MP3
Reminds me of the ladyshows.
They seem to like playing christmas music any time of the year but Jingle Bells is on constant rotation around now.
^^^
FRIGGIN 4 NON BLONDES SHOULD BE SHOT as they bought that 1 hit wonder out and there work boot wearing lesbians with a shocking dress sense.
Just goes to show what to much cocaine can do to a slapper.
Barbie Girl. Who's that by? Aqua? Hear it all the time down here :ugh1: And that one about Casablanca
Sek Loso
Fantastic
^^ I'm on dial-up. I can't listen to or watch Youtube (or anything else, for that matter)
~The Farmer in the Dell~.
Hear it at least twice a day.
I think the ice cream man has figured out my weakness.
Some songs I purely associate with Thailand, don't hear much now but for years and years
1. that wanky Milli Vanilli song that they never sung
2. Snap - I've Got The Power
3. Joan Jett waffling on about having ever seen the rain - still hear occassionally.
Any ACDC song...music made to go go by
I'm Blue Daba Dii Daba Die
I remember hearing a lot of James Blunt a year or two ago.
Last week in Pattaya it was all the usual stuff - Aqua, The Venga Boys, that Tarzan is handsome Tarzan is strong one, and yes - One night in Bangkok
I remember a couple of years ago. It was when I was being dragged around go-go bars by ones 'friends'. The music was all Ibiza style classics; Spiller - Grove jet (if this ain't love), Zombie Nation - Kernkraft 400, Binary Finary - 1998, Darude - Sandstorm and various versions of Barbers Adagio for strings. There were a few others that I have never heard of since, including all the meaningless ones that have good production but girls singing la la la where the chorus should go (pet hate).
I have grown to love many of the Thai ones but I can't remember any of the artists. Errr... Tiny Red Hat, is the English translation. He is a Lao singer with a good sense of humour and Pon Lang Sa-orn. Saw them live once, they did a cracking version of zombie, and I think that they had a hit single out, last year. That's about it.

One of my goals in life is to see Loso. Yes, I am frail and unambitious -- fuck off. Many of their songs, while syrupy and a bit popish, are really good musically. Good range and nice thump (sorry, I'm on the piss and far from a music critic)
Can't handle rap but actually tolerate the falsetto tones of moram music -- only if accompanied by a bevy of semi clad dancers. Beer helps.
Often hear Happy Bird day
and the Loy, Loy Krathong song.
I must have been back a month now, but the tune 'under my umberella ella ella ey ey' is still ringing in me fvcking ears.
Over-played Thai style in the clubs and bars at the mo.
Pass me the karaoke mike if you dare.

Loso does Glastonbury.
When I first came to Thailand this was constantly playing:
In fact, round the office, a quick rendition of it meant: "Let's get festive in the bar after work."
