I was sacked from work last week. Not my insurance job, the nightclub one, I'm not sure if I had a moan about it on here. I don't think I did. For anybody interested in why - I turned up for work after a few too many joints & beverages. Why they never noticed before that I always turned up for that job after a few too many, I don't know.

Anyway, five minutes after getting out of bed this morning, I recieve a phone call, asking me if I can start work tomorrow night doing security at Man City.

I applied for this job almost a year ago & forgot all about it. I've said yes. The hours are a bit shit - start at 5pm, finish at 2am, five days a week, starting tomorrow. Suits me though, as it won't interfere with my day job.

Maybe Toxin's cronies liked the look of my many years in Thailand on my CV? They're not to know that only one of those years I spent in Thailand & the others I was in Strangeways

Shitman is now on Toxin's payroll.

I'll be doing my Xmas shopping with blood money

No chance. At the club (it was the Living Room, Manchester) we used to have pitch battles every fucking night, this gig will be a piece of piss. If it was the daytime, it would be for the matches & things could get a bit funky, but this will be the corporate & Xmas function crowd. Black tie & all that.

All you have to do is ask them to leave politely & they just get up & go.

I'm not going to go in wasted on my first night though - I'll get a feel for it first.

Do you actually have to do anything, SO? The security guards here are not allowed to accost, detain, chase or otherwise interfere with anyone breaching security (ie, a robber, vandal, etc). All they can do is call for the police and get a good description of the perp. WTF?

A few. The casino is the best one, as the others are full of clubbers at that time & no good for an after-work drink. They'll also have the Ricky Hatton fight on.

Just got home from my first shift. It's okay. I like it.

Everybody will be pleased to know that every single one of Toxin's staff are robbing him fucking blind. The guys who already worked there showed me the ropes, so to speak. I've done pretty nicely out of him myself tonight

Let's just hope he doesn't round us up & have us all shot.

I told every single customer that walked in the door that Toxin was a murdering bastard & paying his staff in blood-money, but sadly, not many of them even knew who he was, let alone give a toss

Not enough. I know it's too much what I've taken on though & I've talked my boss into letting me do just three nights a week, so that's sorted.

No, not tomorrow. I sometimes start work in the afternoons & things like that, but I'm in on Monday morning (I'm supposed to be doing CS Monday) & that's a problem.
