My OCD Thread - Do You Wash Your Hands Afer Using The Toilet?

I know it seems like a strange poll / thread, but the wife and I have been talking abou tthis for weeks. She says from what she sees when she uses the WC is that about 75% of Thai women do not wash their hands at all. 20% rinse their hands under the water faucet without using soap and ONLY 5% actually use soap and water.

I started to notice and I would say that 90% of Thai men do not wash their hands at all, 9% rinse their hands and 15 actually use soap.

We both have been talking that most of these women are cooking food and it is not clean. My wife thinks that is were why diarrhea and sickness is so common in the Thailand.

I notice that most singaporean men wash their hands before and after going for a piss.

i usually just rinse my hands under the tap after a piss, and wash with soap and water after going for a dump.

Once at a KTV night here in Singapore, one of the guys we were entertaining gave a deep and passionate kiss to a girl who had just returned to the room from the toilets where I had just shot my load in her mouth.

I didnt mention it to the guy though

I wash with soap & water (when there is soap!! or rinse with water when there isn't). If you think you're borderline OCD, Chitown, you should have grown up in my family - my Dad used to ask to smell our hands after we'd come out of a public loo to see (smell) if he could smell soap. Seriously! He was also the sort of person who had to have coasters under glasses & only cut food on a chopping board. Sadly, or perhaps fortunately, I've grown up thinking these things very important.

I live with a proper germaphobe... She sneezed after trying on a top she just bought and put it straight in the laundry basket despite emitting only a fine spray in front of her, she dropped a banana and washed it before peeling it and she hovers over the toilet.

But I do love her, it's the little idiosyncracies.

I voted soap and water, guessing the poll refers to a dump, after which I always take a shower anyway, rather than a pee that earns just a good rinse unless it's a sprinkly one.

I generally take a shower in the morning. So it seems to me that if I don't piss on my hands, I should be okay.

I think it's normal too. I have 2 chopping boards (one for raw meat one for everything else) I also have 3 different standards of dish cloths/sponges: One for dog dishes only, one for things used for raw meat and one for general washing up usage. They're all very different so they don't get mixed up.

Don't start me on coasters & placemats...

A friend of mine always washed his hands BEFORE pissing. He pointed out that he knew where his dick had been, but just think of all the dirty things his hands could have touched!

Giving you the benefit of the doubt, but what about the guy before you? How can you guarantee that he didn't shove the thing up his bum or drip his own yuck all over it? Another reason we also carry toilet paper too.

Totally, and absolutley wash every time, we carry a back pack for our boys with soap and towel to wash and dry. Also have a hand sanitizer for long periods without being able to wash and always use that after purchasing meat or touching veggies in the grocery store..

Lack of handwashing is the #1 cause of illness..

If any of you ever visited Cairo Airport ( Im talking about 15 years ago here) and went for a piss - totally bizarre when just as you are shaking the drips off ( remember more than three shakes is equivalent to masturbation - sorry I digress!) and a little fellahin sidles up and thrusts a postage stamp sized piece of tissue at you to dry the snotty end - he then stands there while you do -holding a salver to receive the bit of tissue - and the other hand out for the 10 piastre fee!!!!

If I am at home then I don't, hell it's my knob and I spend half my life fondling it, well it seems that way anyway if I use a public toilet then got to be soap and water and then don't touch anything else in there, nope, not even the towels, I wear perfectly adequate clothes to dry my hands on and I am pretty sure my clothes are generally cleaner than most public toilet towels.

After one has worked in a food factory, washing with hot water and soap becomes second nature and has proved a difficult habit to break. Sanitiser, yes, if available. I still remember all those pix of those nasty little poo germs, YUK!!
