    Differences Among Asian Gals

Besides the cultural differences and excluding Japanese and Koreans (who physically seem very different) , do you feel there is a tremendous difference among Asian ladies from say Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines , Laos, Cambodia .

I know this is a vast generalization but lets see where it goes.

There's a noticeable enough difference that you can usually tell where they're from by looking at them, with the exception of some of the Thai/Lao/khmer, in my experience.

Well cultural differences, for a start.

Some Filipinas and Thai women look very similar.

Thai people don't seem to be able to tell the difference with Filipinos, so I guess they are virtually the same.

I can usually tell the difference between Asian girls but when I was in Singapore I was totally lost.

The mixture of Chinese, Malay and Indian had me beat but I must say they were bloody drop dead gorgeous creatures that gave me a woody.

    ^

Tend to disagree on that one as I find all women very different in certain areas.

An example would be, the way an Asian bred girl might think compared to a western woman.

I could go on but what the fok eh.

Well racially speaking, the people from Malaysia, Indonesia and the Filipines are of the Malay race, and have similar languages. They still differ though- you have a larger Arabic genetic influence in Malays (old trade routes), the Filipino's have the Spanish influence- and Arabic in the south. Plus you have Chinese influence throughout of course.

The Isaan folk are ethnically very similar to the Laos and Khmer- much closer to them racially than the central Thai, who migrated from Yunnan province in China many moons ago.

The southern Thai are a mix of Malay and central Thai, and a fair bit of Chinese thrown in. The northern Thai are different again, very close to the Hilltribe people/Montaganrds of Laos, northern Vietnam and south west China.

The Vietnamese are a bit of a melting pot between Laos indigenous folk with a very strong Chinese influence genetically. That is why they are usually lighter skinned than other Laos folk.

But I reckon if we all keep screwing each other at this rate, soon enough we'll all look the same anyway.

The majority of female Singaporeans won't sleep with you just because you have a few bucks to throw around. They have enough money themselves.

Some will though, so all is not lost.

How do you rate them against Mukdahan chicks?

I think the Mukdahan ones are a bit thick, actually.

About the same probably, but it's a bit difficult to tell when there's 30 or 40 scantily clad examples dancing their arses off compared with one known in a completely different scenario.

Agree with KW, I've had some Indo women that were slim but had huge tits.
Vietnamese also seem to have bigger fun-bags than the Thais.

Lot of Filapinas without a defined chin. Dunno why.

KW is also spot on the money about Singapore girls being bunny-boilers. Had several flip out on me when I ended the relationship. Had one banging on my hotel door for four hours. I thought I could out-wait her. I was wrong. Security dragged her out kicking, scratching and biting.

There's quite a bit of racial variation throughout Asia, sabang's account is not bad as a general map although there were Mon-Khmer and other peoples
living all over present day Thailand when the Tai tribes started to migrate down from Southern China into South-East Asia so the Central Thai gene stock has a lot of Mon-Khmer in it, as does the North-Eastern one. Cambodia had yet other people (like the Champa, for example) living in what became the centre of the Khmer kingdom, and these groups were mixed with the Mon-Khmer, etc.

These earlier groups inhabiting South East Asia weren't ethnically cleansed, but rather incorporated gradually into the Thai speaking group, which means that just like virtually everywhere else in the world, you'll rarely, if ever, find 'pure bred' people of any race, even though some might look like they have all the features associated with one type.

Obviously thick nationalists and racists do not acknowledge or understand this very well.

That's because Isaan folks are ethnically Lao, at least the northern Isaan. They were forced to settle down south from Laos to populate the Isaan plain.

Ex-Vietnamese g/f - was constantly addressed in Thai when visiting me here in Bangkok, so the Thais were obviously unable to tell the difference.

My Thai wife when visiting Malaysia and Indonesia is frequently taken for a local and addressed in bahasa.

I would say it is much easier to guess someones origin by looking at their behaviour and dress/fashion sense than by looks alone.

Figures. Given the average American's vast knowledge of the rest of the world I'm surprised they didn't think she was a Swede.

No, the Americans assumed she was American.
The Mexicans living there thought she was one of them.

Not surprisingly, I don't agree with the contention that Americans are unknowledgeable about the rest of the world. But we can save that one for another day.
