    Ripping Off Software from Work?

At work, I sometimes deal with people over the telephone, who have had a vehicle accident & don't know exactly where they are. Some of the descriptions of peoples' locations are vaugue, to say the least.

To combat this, they spent a small fortune on a system from Vodaphone, which gives the location of a mobile phone to within twenty-five metres. It works in real-time & they charge us 25p each time we use it.

I find it very handy to see where my mates are when I am about to finish work & not have to bother ringing or texting people to see who's in town for a pint. Problem is, every time it is used, it is logged & I've been dragged over the coals for the same numbers consistently appearing on my records.

I've asked work if I can copy the software, but they said no, muttering they had spent thousands on it & something about the Data Protection Act. I've tried downloading the thing onto my iPod, on the sly, but it won't transfer.

Do I need a flash stick, or something? Bear in mind, I'm not sure what a flash stick actually is. I can see the file that contains the stuff, but when I try & drag it into removable drive F:, it looks like it's working, but doesn't appear on it when I get home. I've tried putting it onto a normal MP3 player, too.

We don't have A: drives, so I can't copy it that way. How can I get my hands on this great bit of software? I'm more than happy to share it with TD if someone can tell me.

It will call home each time someone uses it and your company will be billed, thats aslong as you can get the password and registration details.

So, if you got anyone's phone number you can track them and they'd be unaware of you doing it? Sounds a bit dodgy for this to be a service that any company/individual can subscribe to (I know the police and security services have access to similar systems of course).

Get hold of someone 'important's mobile number and try it out on them, then see how long it takes for the lads from MI5 to show up on your doorstep.

I did the Man United team & anybody else who springs to mind. We do all their insurance, so have all their details. Those fuckers are everywhere when they are not training.

I'm just waiting for Toxin to take out a policy

We've got David Beckham & all kinds of famous people on our books, but nobody really important, in that way. You should see some of the motors that Victoria isn't a named driver on - like his Ferrari & such, but the bodyguards are.

He's obviously smarter than he looks. I don't let my missus drive my Ferrari either.
