The All New Good Morning / Evening thread

Well it seems boys get jealous when girls have more inches than they have... so I have two dogs (Dirty and Marmite) and a Captain (maybe an old sea dog himself) pressing me (a not altogether unpleasant experience) to remake this thread into a less unwieldy reading experience (I believe the old one is to be archives in the Famous threads forum if you ever need to look back on your ramblings of old).

(please let me know if my overuse of brackets renders me unintelligable - everybody has a vice (one of) mine is... these sexy little devils ((brackets)) )

Anyhoo, as you well know this thread is for the sole purpose of rambling over your cornflakes (or horlicks if you are an evening person) and sharing with your fellow members the highs and lows of your day (or more commonly the daily highs and lows of your member).

It will also tolerate a fair amount of useless spam and banter but if your sole purpose it to increase your post count you are probably in the wrong thread.

At its best it is a source of camaraderie and support - at its worst it is a memo pad *must remember to buy mosquito repellent* and if that is as bad as life gets... well, it can't be bad.

To get you going (and you know how I love to get you going) here is my day:

I dragged myself out of bed an hour later than I intended and an hour and a half before I was due in class (for me that is cutting it very fine). I shambled around for a while drinking coffee, farcically attempting to get dressed and shower and all the time watching my lover shamble around with even less sophistication than I.

As always of late I have this dreamy smile on my face that comes from having love and sex in equal abundance and beauty.

Got into work... and well... worked (as one does). Today is the last day of my working week so I am rarely effective. I am however pleasant and as most of the people that work with me will testify if you wanna ask for a favour today is the best day to do it. I love my job - have I ever mentioned that? I love students... and teachers and planning syllabuses and course outlines and buying books and tapes and fixing photocopiers and drinking bad coffee on cigarette breaks and all that stuff.

Anyway all was lovely until my man met me from work and told me a bit of bad news from home (not scary just more ill will from the 'er indoors, who preceeded me - aka number one wife - she can make life tough but then I don't blame her because if I was ever forced to give up this man I would raise hell also).

So we are at home, with pizza and beer and all the love we have in us. You will forgive me if I sign off here because I wanna snuggle on the sofa with my wolf and I think I have made my point.*

Share your day with us and we will love you for it!

    *speaking of points....

^I was with you all the way until you started all that 'snuggle with my wolf' nonsense. Really best saved for night-time telephone conversations with your female friends when you're sitting on the end of your bed painting your toe-nails with the phone cradled in the crook of your neck.

Unless of course it's a real wolf, in which case you have my full attention in the matter.

Thanks for this new thread Hiro. You have wonderful writing style and I shall never tire of reading you. The original thread was so popular and it gave this community a fantastic way of sharing their daily doings. I am sure that this thread will be equally if not more popular.

I woke this morning and hated everything in my world so I just went back to bed. I can do that coz I am on holiday just now. I woke some 2 hours later to the gentle beeboop noise that skype makes and answered a skype chat from a great friend. Still feeling ugly I tried taking it out on my friend but they werent having it and after about a half hour of my moody horribleness (hehe) I was smiling again. Good friends will do that to you every time. Anyway we chatted for just over 5 hours and that made my day actually.
Next I was off out for Kwiteo at my favourite Kwiteo outlet. The staff there are always laughing and I think that is why I like it so much. I like folks who laugh.
After that I had a good old chinwag with a mate and his Mrs (she is great fun) and then I repaired to my digs to read that it had been quiet here today. hehe. You get days like that and it dont matter. Tomorrow it will prolly be busy as all get out. All in all, a good day.

Today has been another good day.

We met up with Mr MeMock for a splendid lunch at the Huntsman Pub, then I went to rugby training (which I had been really missing over the Christmas break), and then I came home to this....

Ohh that book. I got it from my boss. He gave me yesterday and said "I've never read it yet but I want you to read it first and give me back in 1 month".

I've read about 25 pages already, it's a bit boring but useful. I think my boss just wants me to think think think a lot more.

    Is that good or bad?

Well I didn't win the lottery on Friday; you'll justl have to buy your own drinks for a while longer, but the good news is that nobody else one it either, so the jackpot is 100 million quid this time - how many short times is that?

I went for a walk along the sea front this afternoon and damn near froze to death; youngest son had his usual bowl of octopus and mrs D had some whelks at the sea food stall; I hung around and tried to look like I wasn't with them.

I have a programmer arriving from Dhaka tomorrow morning for two weeks, so I am really not looking forward to that. Knowing my luck he'll be married to one of the cashiers by Thursday and I'll end up with him as a permanent employee.

    Roll on Christmas.
    Lord, deliver us from e-mail.

I think I will wait until April because in the company, they will do promotion in April.

In Dec, my boss knew that I was finding a new job then he asked me to work here longer and I'll get promotion (If it's true). If I walk out of here with a higher position than now, it would help me get more salary in a new job.

Poolie, if you do it we will have to revoke your english status and you will have to revert back to being a knob headed Aussie again.

My day so far, went down the local paint shop on the old motor bike to pick up some thinners and that, walked into the store wearing my crash helmet as I would only be in there for a second, paid the bill then the young lady asked me if I had come in my truck, I pondered on this idiotic question for half a second, I then pointed at my crash helmeted encased head and said "no, I came in my sports car". Her mate burst out laughing straight away, but you could see the confusion in her eyes as she looked out to the street looking for my car, hopefully the day will get better and I will be able to converse with someone who has a 3 figure iq.

Been really busy saving Islam's arse! While searching for few information I came across this discussion forum where all Muslims are being branded terrorists by the admin and the owner of the site. Couldn't stopp meself, although I'm a non practicing raghead, and jumped into the forum with me two cents.

Engaged the administrator for over two hours and threw some verses from the Quran and the Bible to support the ragheads and their faith.

The fooking bastard, admin, banned me when I started quoting verses on "Women in Islam". C.unt that he is.

I misread saving as shaving and wasted 30 seconds imagining... Well I won't go into what I imagined as it is probably haram (sp?)

well done anyway Macha, always good to fight for your non practising beliefs

This reminds me that I have an outstanding request for information regarding Islamic women shaving their fannies every Friday before prayer.

Is this true Macha? Can I contiue to fantasise? Or is this another myth, like the one about you being a muslim?
