Yes, sadly IIG handles most of the international traffic for Thailand but most of the bigger ISP's have a smaller direct link to Singapore or Hong Kong. So if IIG goes down, which happens quiet often the traffic will be routed directly, but much slower of course.

The way around this a nice little HOSTS file. I'll see it that works later if it do... Then a list of sites banned, and a coupla hours....
Or else get a a list of DNS servers fromout of the country, configure your network to point to those instead of The internals and viola!

I have far less problems with my ADSL connection than I did on dial up. Very rarely hit the police closed message nowadays.

Think this is jsut a slow roll out. I can't hit http:88square.com either. get a not found message from 'webserver2.ksc.net' can't find Ip address. So I've got a couple of outside dns servers now. I can resolve the name. (means i can find it) but the KSC proxy is examining the http request header. can hit join.88square.com just fine.
Can still hit loads of other sites with some pretty raunchy shit. I'm thinkng this ain;t happening all at once. When they get this rolled out i figure each request is gonna take a looong time.

I'd kind lke to fuck with this and I'm not much into porn so I can;t find any more banned sites. If ya'll could give a (short) list of sites you can't hit so I can watch what goes on. Not saying i'm gonna make a career outta it mind you. Just something to mess about with.
