I was thinking of getting the Huawei 30Pro, but got Android Pie on my battered s8 and will til next year now and see if the Samsung catches it up.
This Galaxy A9 looks a sack of shit Noober
There are plenty of alternatives in this price range:
OnePlus 6T[at]is the same price and beats the Galaxy A9 in every aspect from performance to the cameraXiaomi Pocophone F1 is nearly 50% cheaper and also beats the Galaxy in both performance, camera and battery lifeOlder phones like the Google[at]Pixel 2[at]that are now discounted are also much better options with their far superior camera, great software support and clean, modern interface
At the end of the day, there is just one way to sum up our experience with the[at]Galaxy A9 (2018)[at]and it’s with these questions: “Seriously, Samsung? Seriously?! Is this really the best you can come up to rival OnePlus, Pocophone, Honor and all the rest?”
Because it’s just not enough.
Yes, the Galaxy A9 (2018) works and it has a beautiful screen, and it will get the job done for pretty much everything you expect from a modern smartphone, but let’s face it, so will a $100 phone these days. At its current price, the camera performance here is shockingly bad, its speed is not on par with rivals, its interface is old and updates are not something Samsung even brings in the conversation. Heck, this phone is not even built well and it rattles when you wiggle it! And we expect more – a lot more – from the world’s biggest phone maker.

For mid range money I think you are better off buying an older Flagship model......
Lazada
'aging well'? Who the hell is that?
^ she coulda bought an iPhone XS Max for that, you nobber
Strange to hear of Thai birds who like Samsung, you don't meet many who don't have an IPhone or wish they did. Samsung's are a way better phone I reckon, just the cameras make them worth the admission price.
Samsung still has a great camera but its been overtaken now . I shall see if it catches up next year or I am jumping over to Huawei
Samsung is only number 6 in these tests.....
https://www.digitalcameraworld.com/b...t-camera-phoneAt the moment, there are a number of camera phones that are simply superb, though, with the differences between the likes of the Huawei P30 Pro, Google Pixel 3, Huawei Mate 20 Pro and the iPhone XS pretty negligible.
I bought 2 of the 602 Asus - they dropped the bloatware and put in a big battery
and one of the chicky's likes to take photos of herself and friends
I just came for the shitfest.
So Noober sold a piece of property and claimed he was "sharing the profits" by buying the misses a new phone while he pocketed the rest of the money? Sounds fair.
The S8+ phone is a really nice phone. I have played with the S10+ and honestly my S9+ performs basically the same. Before I looked to upgrade from my S7, I looked at the Google Phone pixel XL as well. The Huawei phone while nice is to risky with them monitoring all your data. I stuck with S9+. The only problem I have with any of these phones is the bloated BS that comes in them. I find it disturbing you can't uninstall virus programs like Facebook and a host of others. All you can do is disable them. I disabled 18 apps when I got my phone.
Yeah I know you an dump the OS and reload but my heartburn is us customers should have a choice what apps we want. They pollute them with crap. I did a dump with my S6 and it was a long process to get things to work right
a checkbox on the miflash tool that said lock after flashing - default is on - so after I fcuked up , even though I can get to the end of a basic fastboot flash , at 99% it says no can do because bootloader is locked
I have to pop the back and short 2 pads to put it in EDL ( emerg dload mode ) apparently and all is good , though what I am reading on another thread you still face the issue and a finnish bloke had to pay some one in chin land with an "authorised" account 36USD and allow them to teamview into his pc and do the job - I have had one go to bet the back off as per the youtube vids but my little plastic fingernail jobby was not up to the task , so I thought I would wait till I was in BKK last week and go to the authorised service centre and see what it cost there - I went to the one in fortune and managed to find it but they said they cannot do anything on the mipad but maybe try MBK - so I ended up at a xiaomi reseller with a lying wobbly head who said he would take it to a place and find out - they said they would do it for 650baht and if unsuccessful no pay - so I told them to have a go - after being told 45 minutes and waiting 2 hours , the wobbly head said because it was more difficult than expected it would now cost 1500 and take 2 hours - so I took it and left
plan is to try the EDL method - I will be a little bit more vicious popping the back off - and see if I can flash fastboot , and if not I am waiting for the finnish bloke to get back to my IM on the xiaomi forums for the link to the chin people and I will set up a machine just for them to teamview to
live and learn
I had only had a couple and thought I knew it all
^^^ Dill ... hold off on buying that new Samsung folding phone.
Key points:
- Reviewers reported the Galaxy Fold's screen started flickering and turning black before completely fizzling out
- Two journalists said they mistakenly removed a thin, protective layer from the screens they thought was supposed to come off
- One CNBC reporter, Todd Haselton, said the smartphone was "completely unusable" after two days
