To contact an old friend who I knew used TV I made an account.
Firstly I made a new E mail account to use for TV.
Signed up to TV using never used email which apart from me was unknown.
In the morning i received an email from company to say my email account was blocked and to contact them.
Report from email company. Within 15 minutes of giving only TV the email address, someone tried to penetrate account with correct username. A further 2 attempts were made. What I find strange is I used a very unique username.

Can you ask the company what passwords were tried with the username?

Do you use a password manager ? Or similar passwords between accounts.

A few years ago quite a few services would default to using the email addresse and password you signed up with to try to login to your Hotmail, Yahoo, Google Mail and then email spam to all your contacts.

if your password is solid, shouldn't be a problem for your email account provider, even if they lock your account

The tv mods are homos. If you forget your sign up name and email and sign up again they close the account claiming multiple accounts even though the old was used a year ago. Who uses their main email for forums full of spammers?
