I just received a FB message from one of my Thai nieces - do you think she's got a crush on me or on my money?:rofl::rofl:
"On February 14, Valentine's Day is the day of love. I love you. On February 14, I want a ring. Price 3000 baht"

^ Photo of said Niece required before further advice can be rendered :)
^ i'd have asked her age before posting that:)
^ Nah. Anyone Thai who could pen ...
"On February 14, Valentine's Day is the day of love.
I love you. On February 14, I want a ring. Price 3000 baht"
has been around the traps :)
Its confusing, is that a short time quote?
:UK:....
^ Methinks he doth protest too much. Then again, you got the last part right. :)
This thread should get shit canned... although perhaps LD can turn it around
Sounds like she has something on you. The price is 3000 baht or she rats you out. Better just pay.
I don't think Simon is worried about his BDSM piccies getting out and it ruining his online business, the Gimp mask has it covered...:)
.....
^ I've been legless ... but footless :dunno:
Nothing wrong with a little true love from a distant niece....
^^ had a hard life:)
That niece is 15 years old, but there's nothing creepy about the message (I haven't seen her for maybe 2 years). It's just a great example of the way my dysfunctional Thai family think - obsessed about money. I just love the important mention of how much the ring costs... (she doesn't want the ring of course, just the money).
Better pay up
True that. But I know that her level of English is shite. She enlisted the help of her older sister, (19 years old and just given birth after her 3rd pregnancy...). She learnt some English while at vocational college, and she's the official translator for her younger sisters, (the other sister is about 16 years old and also asks for money - her last message in Thai a few days ago said 'I'm not well, I must go to hospital, please send money').Quote:
Good English (assuming she penned it) for a kid.
This family is like a TV soap - even more 'fun' than my own TV soap yonks ago with my mad ex.
