Lack on worker's ability or lack of clear direction by the employer?
If you believe an out of centre curtain road is "critical', ensure you are able to inform your workman of this fact.
Did the dealership mechanic/service boss inform you of their solution or did you just pay a impressible cheap THB50 charge and drive away?
It's a joke, OhOh.
Oh oh, bit of a boo boo. Hell, nothing nuclear or even near supercritical.
Who the funk do you think the fish is?
Dilly stay out of this please. :bananaman:
I'll post a few picks of thier works tomorrow after the finish has dried.
So I go today where we bought the custom curtains from the other day to buy some floor mats to settle our feet onto before getting into bed.
A different girl is there I haven't seen before. I say in regards to the mats " Anee la caa toadia?" Sorry for the poor transliteration, fish.
She says something like song ha sip paun. I give her the look and ask for her calculator. Immediately she says song zip pan.
I say ok on two of them for that. A couple of rugs for a couple of bucks. That's what I like about this place.
Funny thing is no matter where I seem to go here they know the real price of basic items and don't often try to overcharge me.
Mabey cause they know that I am ......
the fish.
Hahaha. I love this.
I said its all about who you know, not who you blow..fish.https://teakdoor.com/images/imported/2019/01/972.jpg
I better watch it. I could get in trouble for impersonating a human.
Not sure where you found the #9 score but here is one list of the "cheapest" countries:

Many sites are USA based and consequently list Central and South American countries as very "acceptable". Note Thailand is #19 and the UK comes in at #26. I suspect the numbers are based on "city living" rather than out in "the sticks/rural". Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar, unsurprisingly, don't make the list at all.
One suspects the "add ins" may be found in many countries. Whether better or worse than Thailand, I'll leave up to you to judge.
Agree, make sure you can exit, if you find the country unacceptable.
Many would never consider leaving their home country, agreed.
Not only in Thailand, as we all know. Always have a "personal/dependents" exit/fuck it plan.

Hey, I could go back and ask the Lao guy that sold up in France to buy a piece of this Island the cost. But I figure that is just rude.
I'm calling bullshit on that index, sorry though i cannot be bothered to justify why.
I haven't figured out if it's me, the drone ( no not mrs fish) the wifi, or uploading thats causing the blurred vision. Until I get back to reality I'll blame King Robert.
And Hail the beer Lao drinkers. The good years yet to come for us all. Cbeers, the fishes.
I know generally it always is.
I was under the impression you were pretty content with your setup.
In my experience when employing locals to do a job, you have to ensure what the real requirements are and that your workers understand what is and is not acceptable. Of course it's "the felang way" and some locals may not be able to accept a different method or standard.
I believe given the right, clear instructions, Thais are more than able and willing, to perform well.
He is Lao, moved to France, made enough to jump back is what I surmised. As for myself a different deal. Gf is a US citizen now. Don't know how that affects status here. Names on titles ect. These folks know what I bought here and there.
They do have plat mapps ect. Monuments demarcating lot lines ect. As for legality it's in sils hands as far as I know even though mama is still fine.
They know I can blast off at any time and thus should be anyone's plan if venturing into the unknown.

Looking around I guess I should be content.
Interesting, he probably v happy.
Sounds that you like me still have / will retain most of your capital outside your wife's country.
Me, aside from the pick up and a bike + some cash in the bank - everything else is pretty much hers, does that bother me, no. Could i walk away and care about the house, land etc - yep not a problem, i've already written it off, been drip fed paid for over years by both of us and don't notice it.
If / when i retire it'll be c 5-7 month in Thailand, the rest in the UK and France where i have me other places, she'l come too:) but the point is that when i began this adventure and investment it was always knowing that it all went to her and the family; probably no more in value terms than 10m THB but that is over years and some wise ish investments where my real outlay is quite a bit less than that. I'm happy with the outcome, she works and saves c 30k thb monthly so really - she don't need me for money but she couldn't live without me.......
I do recall back in '09 a British couple that retired to I believe the British Virgin Islands with they said back then about 1.75 million usd. Well we know what happened next and they were unsure if they would live out thier retirement dreams on their funds.
Now I don’t know what they were in to or any of that ect. But I will say this for certain, unless you know the depth of the water, don't dive in.
fish.
NamPikToot, glad to hear it. sook dee doo. Sorry, I suck at this transliteration stuff.
Long life, healthy living, Scotch Whisky and Smiles. I think that's What it means anyway.
Allegedly this site was used for the Cost of living:

They survey 27 cities in Thailand.

Damn. Good thing this shitbox is paid off.
660usd to get by in Bkk? Including healthcare? That's the big if.
If this happens then what? Just saying.
Is this correct? 3000usd without rent? Is this assuming you have a home?
For a family of four.
All these indices are really pretty much redundant as soon as they are published unless your income is derived in the countries currency, exchange rates.........
