Thread: DPS (Bali) airport lounges; which one is the best?

I've got 6 hours to wait at the DPS airport, whilst in transit to Darwin at the end of January. I've not used this route before so if anyone has experience of the lounges and has recommendations or commendations I'd appreciate the heads up.
Looking at the various reviews on line they all seem a bit dodgy but I don't really trust online reviews at the best of times. Hence this post. Cheers.

Depends on the time of day.

If you arrive at the wrong time you'll spend an hour getting out of the airport car park, let alone getting anywhere nice. It might be better now they've finished that road they built for the IMF/World Bank meeting in October.

You can walk to the Novotel though, maybe email them and ask them if they have short stay rates?

Here's a few pics of the Star Alliance lounge at DPS from about 2 weeks back. I have no idea if you can access it unless you're in J/C class or are Star Alliance gold?. In any case, as far as airport lounges go it's pretty shit but the food was ok.
