I've walked past this in front of the local convenience store next to my house in Nan. Always presumed it was some type of security display but on closer inspection of the photo it looks like the bottles could be easily just lift out. Interesting mix of items though, spirits and engine oil. I'm not much of a spirits fan so will leave it to others to advise whether these are interchangeable for any purpose...and tasting notes.

It's litres of petrol in those bottles. Cheaper to buy down the road and sell in the village and often locals buy the bottle in installments when they have little money. No need for special labels, they all know which bottle is theirs...

Kind of makes sense now Troy. Can also now see the mixed caps. You know in seven months I've never seen them selling anything that end of the store. Thanks & regards, -BiP

Safe to assume no wolves around at the time it would seem.

Yes. Different colours for E20, E50, 95, whatever. There are street-side vendors selling this stuff. Buy in bulk, sell for a small profit. I have noticed some fill the recycled hong tong bottles more, some not so far to the top, each vendor making her choice of where the profit lies; cheaper bottle or fuller but more expensive bottle.

Side note: in Oz and NZ you can not carry petrol in glass for safety reasons. Saw a petrol seller nearby, happily smoking a ciggie while selling his wares. TIT.
