Of course it is. Try telling that to the thousands of families who go there. Very few families take their children to Soi 6, most are content to go to the beach or Pattaya Park. There isn't an activity you can think of that isn't catered for in Pattaya. When I lived there the only activity I thought was missing was horse riding but an Internet search put paid to that. Plenty for kids to do, no need to see anything unsavoury.

Of course I appreciate that there are a lot of inadequate guys on this forum who regard Pattaya as just a place to find prostitutes. They tend to be drunken oafs wearing gold chains and walking around like they are "well 'ard". Shitheads the lot of them ! Just ignore them and your family will have a great time there.

Depends on the bar. Walk into somewhere like a Retox bar and you'd be right for the most part. Walk into some bars I like to drink in that aren't on the tourist trail and you'd be surrounded by some seriously well travelled people who've mostly lived in Thailand for very long periods of time. You, like many others, don't know the town well enough to have seen the range of options available.
