    Stressful things from your home-country

Seems only right we complement the other thread, might help if you tell us where "home" is for you.

    Home: England

    Stresses:

    Brexit
    Cost of living
    Weather sucks
    Food gets boring quickly
Not many decent jobs where I am from, so a move to a big city is a must
Racism seems to be becoming acceptable
It's bloody boring and everything is so safe and bland- no crazy mountain roads, tombstoning of big rocks into plunge-pools, no riding across the steppe- not much of an adventure
    Work/Life balance not the best

Those emails from the Student Loan company are a tad annoying but after careful filing it's all good.

Automated telephone attendants. Would be nice to talk to a real person instead of going through electronic torture to get a task accomplished.

Overly complicated and difficult to decipher tax or insurance instructions.

    “Have a blessed day.”

People mindlessly ranting about what “they” are doing without a f’n’ clue who “they” are.

    Robo calls from politicians.

    I'd add to that;

    * You will likely have to work until you die.
    * Companies change on a whim and you get let go at
    anytime.
    * At most companies you have to work long
relentless hours leaving little balance for work and
    life.
    * Most are terribly in debt and stress almost to the
    point of sickness.

Having to worry about all the problems with Brexit that "Buttfly" and the second segment of the human centipede, "The Gent" keep pointing out.

Red tape to get anything legal done.

A functioning system when it comes to speed cameras, road fines, driving license points.

Agreed. Plus, educating our kids in Thailand in non-private schools is not desirable and
private schools are not an option.

All things considered, after paying the bills, our net wealth increases in the West, but declines
    in the Kingdom.

Unfortunately the ones in Thailand are working now. I keep getting emails from Hertz to say their charging my cc for another ticket from our trip back in July. Three so far.

I agree but at what cost? We could easily move back but the stress of sustaining it all is a steep price to pay. Of course reality is it all depends on where we all are in our lives. Would I be living here in Thailand at say 35 or 40 years old to start a family and raise children etc etc. No Way.

The U.S. was great for that time in my life and now I enjoy a stress free life here in Thailand.

^ The tickets where varying cost plus a fee from the rental company. I think one was 1,800 and the other two less than 700 baht each.

    Luxury !

My last ticket (for doing 68 kmh in a 60 zone) cost the equivalent of 4.600 baht.
