I did consider buying it myself when I come back to Thailand next month. I chatted with the dealer - car has a Toyota engine, so easy for spares and repairs, all legal paperwork etc - cheap because it's old.

I decided not to buy it because it is a totally impracticable vehicle for driving around the rough Thai country roads.

Oh, and because I'd look like a twat driving that boy-racer car at 60 years old...

Had an XJ 3.2 Sport many moons ago. Did 150mph init, fookin scary fast! The lampost on the motorway were flickering past blurring into one mesmeric line of light as if being in a spaceship.
