Yes she does. Thanks for remembering.

But that amount of sea level rise is long term, in a few thousand years or so. Even the city of Berlin, where we live, will be under water if all the ice shelfs melt. We have some hills, 50m high, their peaks may be islands. My concerns are more violent weather events and unstable climate, affecting our ability to produce enough food consistently.

So, despite Trump's dire warnings and the weather news stations rubbing their hands, Florence was a fart in a teacup. Yet the weather people still need to hype it up for ratings.
Amusing clip here, of a weather reporter bracing against the winds....and two people stroll liesurely by behind him, not affected by the tempest at all.

Mangkhut (Ompng) has left my country & is now on its way to China. It wasn't too destructive in my area (thankfully) but did lots of damage in the north. It's now starting to be sunny. Thanks for all the well wishes.

A story about how Florence affects the low country, the Gullah-Geechee, people. Don’t think the rest of the world knows much about these people.

The Gullah-Geechee People Called Carolina’s Coast Home for Centuries. Then Florence Came.

^Slow moving with a lot of rain...much flooding with more coming; not so much wind damage
