Normal practice not to own land or house, and car, when first taking up with farang. I knew an English guy whos missus got him to buy land, that she already owned, and build her a house when she already owned the house they were living in. She told him it were her daughters who lived in Holland. As I said, his missus already owned the 4 Rai of land but she sweet talked him into paying extra for the cassava that was planted on it. I told him that when you buy the land you get what is growing on it. He took no notice and paid. A few months later he came to me and said 'you were right. We harvested that cassava and I lost money'.
That was 13 years ago and every farang that has tried to settle around here hasn't. One way or the other they get turned over and don't stay but I still say it's not the lady's (?). It's the farang for being so fooking dumb.
