The old days were the best.
Good riddance to this dump.
Had an altercation here with a couple of squaddies in 2007. I hit one in the forehead with my nose and the other in the knee with my stomach.
It was my own fault, I'll admit
2007, that's like yesterday
good times,
Not 33 but while I was in memory lane, I took this a few days before Charlies closed
^many good nights there..
Just rediscovered this, Washington Square after being cleared, took it from the room I was staying at Holiday Inn Nov 2015.
...a friend notes that Charlie's was across the soi from Asian Perv Hole on soi 11...quite a place to end an evening...
As I remember Soi 33 developed after the original Thermae closed down.
Now that was a great bar!
Nana Plaza was still developing and Pat Pong and Cowboy were the go to places.
Having said that I never drank where the Teflers drank as I needed a car park and some air-con.
Weren't you on your uppers when you lived in bkk?
I heard you're skint and have got by living off your wife.
Wasn't that why you hung around Thermae trying to get cut-price sloppy seconds?
Oh, and it's 'you're', you thick twat.
Has anyone got any more old photos?
I have some photos from around 2003 in Sukhumvit 1 Plaza (the small bar complex that existed at the top of Soi 1). I owned (ha ha! my mad thai ex OWNED) 2 bars in that complex.
I'll dig out the photos of the ex and the bar staff - you can tell me how many of you shagged my ex LoL!!
The photos are on a big old-style memory card - My adapter is at work...
Groping women when you're old is fine - everyone thinks you're senile
i live nearby soi 33 and the whole left side of part of the soi (which used to be bars/restaurants) has now closed (a few months ago) and likely sold by the owners to condo builders.
the soi was booming when the boiler room mafia was big in bkk (late 90s, 00s).
the boiler room/forex boys were throwing money all around those places like it was the roaring 20s.
The Texas Lone Staar (yes it had the double 'a' ) was a smashing place. I met some great people there back in the late 90's, early 2000's. George the owner was a legend.
Ditto, lots of the other little bars down there.
