Was it prostate problems? Or did you just want a cheap prostate massage without paying the bar-fine?

That's very true. My father, who survived my mother, needed assistance when she died. The LA arranged for free care assistants to visit, hot meals to be delivered and few ramps and safety bars in the bathroom. My brothers and I took on 6 months shifts of living in his house and keeping him active

Eventually he was advised by his GP to move into a private care home where he died within a few months. By that time his memory had gone, completely failing to recognise any of us.

He had worked since the age of 14 until 65, so his contributions certainly were utilised.

That is a heartbreaker. My Dad had started down that route, but, fortunately (!!!) cancer took him first.

    My own personal horror.

Quite sure not the answer the OP wanted but seems an overwhelming majority, based on personal experience, do indeed trust Thai hospitals.

Shall we move on to trust of the BiB? Like most Thais, sure the answer would be strongly for the nays.

My experience of BiB is minimal. A few traffic stops where, once a falang is seen, generally a quick wave through. Stopped during this years songkran holiday in a local village. The officer did ask questions which my sleepy wife answered. He did appear to be getting very close to me, the driver, to smell my breath. As I hadn't been drinking, he waived me on.

One experience of illegal activity of Thais. The officer in charge decided to prosecute, similar to most police forces they have a number to hit every year. It was a cut and dried situation. The culprits were treated civilly, the courts slapped them on the hands and set them all free.

One major incident was a relatives murder. A quick reaction once the incident was reported. A lot of investigations, 2 x forensics (one local team and one big city team), medical etc. The case has gone cold as the suspect, who allegedly confessed to the police, was a Cambodian. The family nipped back over the border. We were told, by the big city police, there was little hope of the Cambodian police finding and/or apprehending him. The deceased's life insurance payments were cleared and a party/ceremony was held. Family gathered around and life continued, as it must for their survival.

Generally they are only seen when drunks start fighting or threatening to attack/shoot others. When they calm things down swiftly, usually just by showing up.

I suspect many Thais are fearful because they know they engage in illegal activities one way or another. Hence want to keep away from the BiB.

Maybe it's my small town environment.

Thainess engages itself with so many possibilities.
Can't keep track of what's up and what's not.

it sure was/still is, prostate probs. never had a massage till the dirty cont indulged himself. he did ask if my wife should be present , which she was, didnt deter him, and no complaints from me, as i coldnt piss, getting a wank was a shock to say the least, the fact that u react involuntarily, forget the term for that , could have been embarrassing. anyway, sorted as an out patient for 12k bt.

by the way there is a new procedure, whereby they insert small beads into the blood supply to the prostate in order to shrink it, it sounds very promising. and apparently efficient.

in hindsight, i have thought of paying for a prostate massage , supposed to be beneficial.
