    Writing a will

I have one, but I have to redo it. Besides fam and friends, I'm thinking of leaving some to a worthy cause (not that it will be alot). Big charities are out, because I don't trust them. I was thinking it would be good to help kids get further education thru travel, so I called my alma mater. My department, East Asian Studies, is so small the poor guys have no scholarships at all. I checked it out and it's pretty cool. I thought a travel scholarship would be good for kids who can't afford a trip and who've never been to Asia. You can decide on all the requirements -- financial hardship, write a big essay on why you want to go, video proof you drank ten beer at a noodle joint, visit a red light district, etc.
    Any non-trolling ideas?

    Nice idea Jet.

How about an oral or written piece demonstrating that they have tried to learn about & appreciate the customs & culture of the area that they hope to visit? I don't mean regurgitating "Do's & Don'ts" from Lonely Planet, I mean something that shows genuine understanding.

Ya, thanks, NR. Maybe a temple stay. Cheap and fulfilling.
