Five British men arrested on Thomas Cook flight from Manchester to Las Vegas

FIVE British men have reportedly been arrested after a Thomas Cook flight from Manchester to Las Vegas had to divert to Winnipeg in Canada.

The men were arrested by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police after allegedly "causing a disturbance", local media said.
A spokesman told the Winnipeg Sun: "None of the males resisted officers and all were escorted off the plane in handcuffs without incident."
The plane, an Airbus A330, landed in Winnipeg around 11.15am local time on Saturday morning and departed for Las Vegas just over two hours later.
A Thomas Cook Airlines spokesman said said: "Flight MT2924 from Manchester to Las Vegas on Saturday was diverted to Winnipeg in Canada as result of disruptive passengers."Five passengers were offloaded in Winnipeg. Our flight then continued to Las Vegas with a delay of two hours and 40 minutes."
He also described such flight diversions as "very unusual" but did not comment on whether the passengers had been drinking alcohol.
He added: "It's a police matter now so I can't go into any more detail."

IMHO I think we can take a shrewd guess, from mile hi club to brokebank Mounty

Or simply boisterous drunks on a lads trip.

An airport spokesman said: "My understanding is the passengers were quite unruly.

Carn't beat a jolly boys outing.

The good old days of smoking spliff and boozing on the rave flights with the hosties back from the 'grief.

Be interesting to know what they actually did in detail to get a flight diverted..

I miss the old days when I could get on a certain airline sober and be pissed before the plane took off.

Fortunate they were offloaded in a civilized country. Thomas Cook deserves credit for that. Had they have continued to the land of the free they would be in a room with a bag over their heads answering questions.
