I go back the UK frequently and still can't adjust to the backwardness I encounter time and time again.
Yes, lots of adjusting, huh? When I went to Canada last year, I used to feel like I was in a ghost town in my home city which has only 48,000 people. Compared to Shanghai, or even Bangkok, where you see people out all the time with heavy traffic and loud people.... ghost town sounds like an accurate description.
