and he was shot dead!
Ye but what a legacy....
controversial (but relevant to this thread as the discussion about colonialism is about finished -270 posts).
controversial:
i think 911 was an inside job by the neocons: realpolitik.
that was evil frickin' shit.
but, who do you want to rule the world?
us or china?
the us does a one-time evil shot against its own country?
or china?
who will never allow anyone to speak critically of the commy party?
you decide...
Isn't trump the president now.
Oh dear, I mentioned Trump, this thread is fucked now.
Equality is irrelevant. It is not a valid goal.
What we want is eradication of poverty (and we are well on the way to achieving that globally).
Inequality is part of free market economics.
Globalised free market economics leads to wealth generation (for everyone, even poor people and poor countries) and is the best economic system we have discovered to date.
It is better to have a few very rich people and many moderately comfortable people (inequality) than everyone mired in poverty (equality).
Loopy wasn't you slagging of Chavs and now you going on about eradicating poverty for fuck's sake, what is it you want.
Have you been reading that ferker Soros.
A few rich people you mean the 0.1 percent that has all the money, get a grip you loony,we're all getting shafted.
You are suggesting there were no troops and resources taken from the colonies involved and that they didn't help the colonial masters win wars.
You are suggesting that currently the world is in a good place. Maybe you haven't been watching the financial crisis unfolding, maybe you haven't been watching the news regarding the exceptional western powers governments in utter confusion - ameristan, UK, EU .... Maybe you aren't aware of the slaughter of innocent civilians taking place day after day due to the existing structure.
The only countries governments who are actually improving their own and other citizens lot, for the last decade or two, are China and Russia, albeit both from a lower starting point.
Why should any country become the world super power, singular. We have had a foul taste of that, allegedly being an unexceptional bully, for the past few decades. I suggest a more balanced rule, inclusive rather than master and slave relationship, is a better target. Care to show how the existing unexceptional emperor, his predecessors or vassals have been in any way inclusive.
It is far easier to illustrate just the opposite.
A tray full of GOLD is not worth a moment in time.
