When i first came here on holiday I had a fling with a yaba whore... I don't really regret it becuase it put me off the whole "finding a diamond in the rough (or muff)" outlook which seems to be the reason at least 30% of farangs living here end up with the: a big whore and a few children (one of them theirs 100%) senario

No I love Thai Visa... It's a past time of mine posing as certain famous and infamous TV members on other forums... And yes so what if their wives have had enough column inches to reach to the moon and back? And so what if the man her kids call uncle is reallt their biological father? So what if she still takes it up the gary now and again if the money is right? WE UNDERSTAND THAI CULTURE! WE ARE THAI VISA OUR AGE AND POMPOSITY KNOWS NO BOUNDS

guy notices how popular Farang are in that neck of the woods, asks his current cutie why, "Oh, Thai man no good"

I'm tempted to agree with you FF, in fact I'm tempted to read the whole post as well!
But I know it's a thinly veiled attack on the Poolcleaner and his chosen lifestyle and so I have to make a stand.
I'm with a non bar girl who regualrly utters the thread's title quote.
I really have no use for mainstream Thai society, not as long as I'm within a 4 hour trip of cheap bargirls.
If I were in a position to retire here, I can't imagine not spending my time with bargirls..........I love them.

Nah man, just jealous. When Iwas in my 20's & 30's I be out and about with the bargirls sometimes I might notget home for a few days. Send a runner with some cash to the ol' lady and I was havin' the time of my life.

I agree they're lotsa fun once they stop that "you pay bar for me' shit, usually after they get to know you; when I 86'd the wife I enjoyed the patrying and late nights a bit. Fuck man I was big as a fickin' house (6'2" 230) and 51 years old, always been ugly.
Had these lithsome, young lasses hangin' all over me. Whenever one'd get a mite clingy, and I asked 'whachoo want with a fat old motherfucker like?' and they'd answer "You jai deee!! Thai man no good!' i think i'd be excused for not believin' 'em.
Nowadays, after two three nights on a run, I'm good for a couple-three months. Guess that's why I'm sittin' here finishing the botle o' port and you, are carryin' the torch for us semi-retired types.
Don't matter if she's a BG or no, good or bad, ain't got nothin' to do with it. a bad experience can make a lady say these things. Just because it's said over and over doesn;t mean everytime's a lie.
Still think if you're a bettin' man when you hear that phrase from a damn-near stranger and her soft, sweet 20-something fragrant flesh is pressed against your fat, fuckin, hairy ol' belly: bet con, you'll come out ahead.

Not to mention the traffic, the heat and the lack of suitable rear seating in your Ferrari.
Why would I want to see yet another temple?

IT is probably because I'm by nature a social creature and need to find a little home away from home that I make one bar my regular. I do become part of the furniture and get to know the girls fairly well but one of the ways to get the best out of the girls is by being 'available'. The only problem occurs when you make a choice even if it's only a rental. Jealousies can be aroused, takes a cool head and a big smile to iron out the lumps but think of the prize!!! (the next girl)

Give me a few years and that fat guy in Pattaya limping along the seashore with a cute li'l 20 yo, or maybe two, will be me!!

Well-adjusted Thai families? How would you know? It's not as if they publicize their problems (like Americans, for example)...As Philip Roth wrote, you don't know the true status of marriage until you see the position of the couples' feet in bed at night...

I agree there's a world of difference between educated, upper class Thais and lower classes, but Thailand is mostly made up of the lower, lower-middle classes.

Even in the upper stratas of society, mia noi are a status symbol, infidelity considered a male right...And it's de rigeur to "act ashamed" of your wife (as one woman put it to me).

I've met plenty of women who have handed out the "Thai men no good" line and they didn't work in bars...They were all economically independent, middle-aged, and were either divorced or never married. And I've heard it over and over....This has nothing to do with bar life.

Look at the statistics for alcohol consumption, infidelity...In one study I read, it asserted 95 percent of Thai men had visited a prostitute by the age of 21...It's commonly asserted that sex stops in a Thai marriage once the children are born...In fact, it's considered unseemly for middle-aged Thai women to still display an interest in sex.

This situation isn't limited to Thailand, either...I saw the same thing in Japan...There was an article in a Japanese newspaper not long ago talking about the perference of Japanese women for farang men...Same reasons...They're mnore considerate, consult with their wives, aren't as prone to fooling around or devoting all their time to working...

Still don't believe it? Look at the marriage and birth statistics...Birth rate in Bangkok is below the replacement level...In Japan, it's the lowest in the world...40% of Japanese men in their 30's are unmarried...They can't find women to marry them...Singapore, the same situation...Everybody knows the ridiculous lengths the Singaporean government has gone to try to get women to reproduce.

Of the lot, though, Thai men are probably the worst...Because of the lack of education and the social acceptability of whoring, boozing, etc...Look at the prostitution industry here...You don't see that anywhere else (Hey, isn't that why a lot of foreign men are here and not somewhere else?).

Oh, I just received this e-mail from a woman Thai friend. "I had a good talk with the factory Manager of ___ yesterday... she is the sister of the wife's owner of the factory... We had a revelation of our life... boy, I guess, I am not the only victim here in Thailand.... what a story of our life..."

That's the type of thing I heard all the time.

I always had this feeling that everyone in Bangkok is 'at it' a lot of the time. Fidelity doesn't seem to be a strong point for both Thai men and Thai women.

But, as with most things, there are plenty of exceptions, and I'm sure that there are many relationships based upon fidelity.

My S.O. is hard-working, and (not a bar-girl) makes a decent wage for someone who left school at age 12.

She tells me that she don't like Thai men because they after her money.

I can't believe she was hanging out with a couple of Frogs. Poor form if you ask me, mate.
