That blur is because of the excitement of owning a RED toy taxi. Fook knows how I'll get to sleep tonight.

Might be the same one as we are looking at so we can send the body to a mate in NZ so re can make a plastic resin copy. Someone said 450B at Big C Ekamai.

Problem being is that I believe all "racing" pickups are two door.

I used a match box coloured silver and had buttons for wheels and matches for axles.

The worse thing about childhood was bedtime,if one didn't get inbed first out of your half a dozen siblings then you ended up in the deep end.

Same with getting up in the morning, hence the old saying "first up,best dressed".

Did the shoe box you lived in have a lid for a roof, CCC? Ours didn't.

After reading wasabi's post, I got to wondering. I don't know how we could have afforded to buy a toy car. I wonder if it was a Christmas present from a relative.

As mentioned earlier I have been scouting out local 7/11s. No red one yet but now grand daughter has 3. Placed nicely in front of house buddha along with all the other "collectables" aka dust collectors.
Reckon if a taxi can have a buddha on the dash, no problem with buddha having a taxi on its dashboard.

^A worthy addition to the collection armstrong.

My newly acquired James Bond car collection has a little Bangkok style tuk-tuk although it is actually from the Indian tuk-tuk fight scene in Octopussy.

You are supposed to keep the cars inside the little dioramas.

But I could not resist taking the Die Another Day V12 Vanquish out of the box so I could drive it around the floor while making realistic vrooming noises...

Very detailed die-cast metallic paint models and quite big at 1:43 scale.

^The 2CV in For Your Eyes Only takes quite a battering.

The model is bashed up and dented in the diorama. Looks similar to the damage suffered by a real 2CV if it were ever in collision with a rabbit!

The rabbit comes out relatively unscathed. That is why tree-hugging vegetarians drive them...

Spotted these in the 7-11 catalog this morning when checking out the bra and panty pages.
