Rainy season about to kick off in Bangkok

Black skies and what sounds like a fooking big storm rumbling away in the distance.

There have been a couple of night time storms recently but not much by day. I was 5 metres away from a lightening conductor that was hit last Saturday afternoon. Loud or what.

It's still dark at 6:37am. Feels like an English morning.

Chronic queues on the expressway. Feels like a Monday morning. I bet some sleepy moron has had a prang.

This will be my first rainy season in nine years. I'm looking forward to it, in a morbid way :/

Thunderstorm at 5am in Rayong this morning that shook the house, scared the dog over the wall, and even had one of the neighbours fleeing in his car.!
Now dark and cool. Impending heavy rains.

^^ Anything to contribute, you pathetic stalking tosser?

It was very refreshing in central Bangkok this morning, and a lovely change from the sweaty intense heat, even at 7am, of recent weeks.

It's been pleasant all day in bkk. Warming up a bit now but for the past few weeks it's been grim to spend more than 5 minutes outside.

Yeah can see the heavy black clouds over that way now. Must have been quite a downpour. Only one rumble of thunder and light rain in my part of town in the small hours.

Storm started near Swampy must have been a few bumpy landings.
It hung around our area for about 5 hours nice lighting show plenty of loud claps of thunder.

Yup the rains have arrived. A good downpour every night for the last week or so.
Tanks are full grass is green, temperatures perfect.

Time for smeg to head off to more temperate climes along with the luscious Felicia Delores na Ayuttaya, surely?

    I hear Barbados is nice.

You got double glazing? I lived next to a main road for a few months in Bangkok and it was hell without decent windows. There was a grid in the middle of the road just to add to the pain.

Ba-dum...ba-dum...ba-dum...ba-dum...ba-dum. You could tell the time of the day from the frequency of the bumps.

That's the sort of irritation I'd check out before living anywhere.
