No it's about some self righteous tool making a huge fuss about nothing, just an excuse to bash the farang, as they do.
It's more than a little rude-but posting it on social media seems a little bit of an overreaction. With so many faux pas in Thai culture it's easy to make a mistake- this one however is well known- I'd be surprised if she didn't know. She's being a jerk on public transport which is something that transcends all cultures sadly. I also think posting pictures of strangers on the internet is also a jerk move. Both should stay at home and use taxis more.
The way a supposed 'military man' is pouting to the camera is just as cringeworthy as those putrid plates.
Spotty twat.
The backpacker is a jerk - whether she's female or male, she was a jerk & disrespectful. Why didn't the soldier say something & ask her politely? Ah... "face"... good thing there's social media. Heh...
Edit - read the article again. The soldier asked her politely, many times, to remove her feet. If no response, he could've complained to the driver or conductor...

Tourist shamed for refusing to take 'smelly' feet off seat - 9news.com.au
In the video, you can see that he made some noises (like grunting) and gestured towards her to move her feet. She made a point of putting them up there again after. I agree, he should have mentioned it to the driver, but I guess posting a video of it on social media is more fashionable nowadays.
...no confrontation! no confrontation! She's demonstrating that she's putting her feet up because she can...after all, she's white in a brown country...Originally Posted by Neverna
I think his blind love and erection prevented him from physically standing up, plus without a mob of 5 other Thai men he was outnumbered.
