Update: - To answer the previous poster's questions:

My hotel businesses worked fine until they were fcuked up by Thais (wives or staff).

I wouldn't do it again because it's almost impossible to do any business in Thailand without the assistance of a Thai person, (for legal reasons or other).

I'm returning to live in Thailand next month, but will be teaching online, not requiring the input or assistance of any Thai. Thus - this venture has a chance of being successful.

But I am thinking seriously about getting a Burmese GF/wife.....
