Try using the correct word - "whether" - and posters might understand your question.

I find Thai people to be vastly superior to us Westerners in so many ways. As an example they don't allow themselves to be hindered by silly things like traffic signs or lights. They know that to get from point A to point B the shortest route is the most logical one, even if it means going against the traffic flow.

They understand that rules just get in the way and ignore them. while we fret and fight over them and waste endless time trying to follow them. If Thais had a national motto it would likely be "never give a sucker an even break"...

On the negative side they put ice in beer and dilute a measure of good Scotch by dumping a bottle of soda-water into in and loading the glass up with big ice cubes.

You're condoning the deaths of families due to their ignorance to obey traffic laws?

The Thai's thought process is much different from those in the west, whenever they do actually think. Most Thai's actions are ruled by how things have been done historically and not towards how to improve something. This eliminates any risk of being wrong if things go south. All is good if one continues to go down the same path others have taken before.

With regard to education, you need to speak to most Thais as if you are speaking to a 7 year old. In depth statements will only be met with blank stares. The capacity to reason is absent so keep it simple. They are this way on purpose to decrease or eliminate any creative thinking.

I have yet to carry on any kind of intellectual conversation with a Thai which is due to their lack of general knowledge. Will things change? Not in my lifetime.

Is the poll about intellect or education.
There is a difference. Having a degree doesn't guarantee intelligence.

I am not your research assistant. References have been provided.
Obviously, the answer is in the definition - IQ. In addition, there is much more to it than that.

    Your IQ?

I expect this thread to fizzle out quickly after my previous post.

I did not complete an IQ test.
As an Australian, my tertiary education was completed on a part-time basis from the late 1960s until 1980.
During that time, I graduated as follows: BEc, BBus (Accounting), Masters in Taxation Law.
