To be honest the next bubble was always around the corner, the US economy is driven by spending and the only way to sustain it is with credit.

If you watch US TV, all you see are the usual adverts for HP purchases, remortgages, etc.

All Trump is going to do is accelerate the process. Unless he deregulates the banks further, in which case they'll do what they did last time and it will happen even sooner.

So in four years time they've have to elect another Democrat to come in and clean up their fucking mess again.
government debt could well get out of control after a few years, but is not talking about stoking a credit boom.
So you think the Republicans will just let him add 10 trillion to the debt?

See the Blurters have been spreading dis-information again.

Looks like the US media are going to get the wrath of the new admin.

Cheesco, you are in complete denial. The DC Metro ridership numbers tell the story not your inane video. You people are pathetic.
And don't blame the media. Trump is the one making this an issue. The media is responding with the facts.

Trump is ranting like a mad man because he has nothing else to say and people expect him to say something

he needs a few weeks to put his plan together, and should refrain from talking to the press

    but tweets will be fine

Just a question I don't know the answer to ...

I heard the White House Spokesman's rebuttal to the gathered Press Corps re the possible misreporting of the numbers attending the President's inauguration.

Are the WhiteHouse Staff changed, specifically in the Public Relations/WhiteHouse Spokesperson with the change in President?

Or are they simply professional Public Servants who espouse what is requested of them (quite rightly following the orders of their Boss)?
Someone is sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago ...

Spencer, Trump's press secretary, is a political hack. The White House is now completely staffed with Trump loyalists with the exception of a few who will stay on temporarily until their replacements come on board.

I am interested in how it will play out, I think we are in for a boom over the next few years, but beyond that I couldn't guess. If he can get 4% growth, he could well not balloon the deficit too much.

Looked like a freezing cold cloudy nearly raining shitty weather day. The larger crowds in the older photo was a nice sunny day.

Like Top Gear posting wet track times with bonus seconds taken off Trump should get a couple of hundred thousand added onto to his attendee total.

Leaving aside the fake news by cnn and it's doctored photos, the number of people viewing the inauguration was yuuge, and this is what spicer was referring to, not the twisted reporting of what he said.

Once you take into account online viewers, like me, the viewing audience was likely the biggest in history of inaugurations.

Nielsen ratings do not account for online viewing, which has grown sharply in recent years and is far more commonplace than even four years ago.
Trump inauguration ratings second biggest in 36 years
