Your Life is Not a Journey

I was lucky to have started living for "today" at about the age of 22.

This short clip reminds me so much of people from my country. They are so conditioned throughout their lives to keep "chasing" and/or "living for the future."

Well, you didn't want the video, then.

It's up to you. Let yourself go. Feel the feel. Immerse.

I always think it somewhat unnerving to have one's philosophical mentor and teacher die of alcoholism.

Presumably you live somewhere ghastly and are beholden to others in circumstances many here might find quite repellent but speaking for myself I find the advent of the iPad to be quite useful as a toy with which to amuse myself in-between dips in my infinity pool and lolling about on the sun lounger as I survey the beach though the vista of swaying palms and the rather quite gorgeous pair of Russian buttocks, with that dental floss thing separating them, belonging to the model that has just moved in to our development

Typical bloody boring Saturday afternoon I suppose but someone has to do it.

    You silly little wanker.

Never mind Snubbie, you'll soon be in that Arizona trailer park throwing them keys into the baseball cap to pull the train of old biddies.

are you quite sure about that?

    The £1m council flat!

Two-bedroom ex-local authority home sells for seven figures (maybe because it's above Stella McCartney's London boutique)

Flat is part of a purpose-built, post-war council block in South Kensington.

It was bought in 2001 for £245,000 but was renovated by former City lawyer.

Third-floor apartment measures 666 sq/ft flat, less than two Tube carriages.

Price tag for 'exquisitely refurbished' flat comes amid affordable housing shortage in the capital
The £1m council flat in South Kensington | Daily Mail Online

Judging by its harsh exterior, this block of flats is just like any other purpose-built building from the post-war era.
But these tiny apartments sit above Stella McCartney's flagship designer boutique in one of the most exclusive areas of London - and one has just been sold for £1million.
The ex-local authority home, situated in the affluent neighbourhood of South Kensington, fetched the seven-figure sum after three months on the market.

With townhouses sitting opposite which can fetch up to £10m, and fashionable restaurant Bibendum just a stone's throw away, the third-floor apartment was always in a desirable location.
But, after the British designer opened the store in 2012, a property developer gave it a lavish makeover, installing a new bathroom and a fully-integrated kitchen, which quadrupled the value.

looks like a nice gaff to me.

Apart from the pretentious minimalist contemporary furniture. Can't see the gent in anything but a nice button down leather Chesterfield. In his smoking jacket reading the Times of course.

As for the op. Feck off with yet more of your goobldeygook psychobabble self help shit. If you really need all this kind of shit to get you through the day then you don't have a life to live.
Not everyone needs help. Most get by the normal way. Just living day to day and dealing with shit when the system unleashes it.

Start a forum for other sad helpless shits who need this kind of crap. Stop trying to make us swallow your helplessness.

Cold Pizza: Your life is not a journey.

Black Cold Heart Pizza, some more information for you (no need to start new threads on them).

Your life is not a caterpillar
Your life is not a pizza base
Your life is not a toothbrush
Your life is not a coffee bean
Your life is not a rocking chair
Your life is not a shopping bag
Your life is not a bottle of vinegar
Your life is not a cheese sandwich
Your life is not an electric generator

Your life is, perhaps, a minestrone:

Oh for goodness sakes, he merely repackaged a conundrum in a paradox and dined out on it for most of his life, knowing of course he was just pulling most folks' chains.

All power to him, I do like a good snake oil pedlar on top of his game, but his script could have just as easily been distilled down to my own pet aphorism, nothing matters very much and very little matters at all.
