    It's 24/6/17, Brexit was a year ago....

So come on you crystal balled pikey clairvoyants, read the T leaves and write what you think will have happened.

We can check back in a year and see who knows their arse from their elbow.

I guess I should start, even though I'm one of the few TD'ers who's not an expert on everything.

    So.....

The UK is pretty much out of the EU now.
I reckon the pound is pretty close to where it was a year ago.
    The Euro is weakening.
The French and Germans hate us.
The EU is struggling to keep together.
At least one other country is planning an in/out vote
The UK is starting to learn how to govern itself again (fingers crossed on that one)

Maybe a new UK political party formed?

Like I say, I'm not up there with you gods but make your claims and they are written in stone

A bit like a short term time capsule.
I would post pictures but life's too short.

I suspect that Brexit will not be as big a deal in a year as it seems in the initial aftershock.

We are all still members of the club of good clean western progressive democracies opposed to all things evil and nasty in the world.

Membership or non-membership of the EU is kind of a bureaucratic detail (there could be a pun in there somewhere I think) which matters more to minnows on the periphery of civilisation like the eastern European states.

The UK still hasn't come to any agreements as to how & when to leave the EU, but has lost its Veto rights in the EU.
The Pound is on par with the Dollar now.
Brit pensioner are flocking back home, demanding housing & medical services.
The French don't feel obliged to control the channel any longer, Kent is overrun with swarthy types from Islamist countries.
There's been a last-minute rush of Eastern European gangs, gypsies & addicts to the ungovernable UK.
The Brits hate the French and the Germans even more now.

Concept of EU is made up of various agendas.

Merkel has one; so do Dr B0B and there are others not so straightforward and noble

Scotland will have voted for independence and has secured tacit approval of full EU membership.
    will be about 45 baht.
GDP will have shrunk and nothing agreed.

    OR

In a pragmatic volte face Britain has agreed to do a Norway and a sullen silence descended on the universe.......

I do not! I am an anarcho-fascist living in a hollowed-out volcano in Croatia. I call it the Ferret's Nest, also known as the Bogoff.

I'm sitting on a beach somewhere in Prachuab downing ice-cold awards winners and ya dong chasers while some old hag clad in baggy attire simultaneously prepares me a spicy beef salad and cups my nuts.

    That's what's happening...

    let's try this:

    - UK didn't invoke article 50 and is still debating how to proceed
    - Bid for another referendum in light of the narrow margin
    - UK politics is a mess, calls for a new General Election
    - Scotland prepare for their independence to avoid the risks of an actual exit

English cucumber farmers are buying the latest luxury Landrovers as they are now able to sell cucumbers that are slightly bent rather than plow them back in because of the EU ruling on cucumber straightness.
Other farmers and producers are also anticipating getting rich now that stupid EU restrictions are no longer imposed.

Unfortunately, the English market is not large enough for the flood of bent cucumbers and slightly off-pink apples, so all those farmers end up in hock.
This in turn floods the market with 2nd hand luxury Landrovers, leading to a sharp fall in Landrover stocks.
That in turn leads to car parts manufacturers going broke, which leaves 20 000 workers out of a job.
The increase in unemployment leads to a strain on the NHS, and native born English doctors and nurses are overworked and under-paid.
There's a rash of medical professional suicides. Desperately in need of medical staff, hospitals are calling for a relaxation of immigration rules so that medical professionals can be brought in from overseas.

The calls for relaxing immigration rules are echoed in many other sectors, from hospitality to fish processing.
Eventually, a referendum is called and England votes to return to the EU.

Government has been moved from London to Hartlepool, London busy leaving England to re-join the EU. The remaining parts of the U.K. Are fine, beer and tabs are free, causing a massive rethink in Jockland and N.I. Euro politicians are forced to fly to Teesside to negotiate trade deals, etc. Hundreds of new jobs translating Hartlepudlian into understandable English. Great deals are done, as the euro politicos can't get of of there quick enough.

Oh and slaps, piss off were full in Prachuab.

    Parky.

Well said. In a year not much will have changed. Political and economic uncertainty continues.

    As always.

Will be about 3 years until the dust settles and a determination can be made if brexit was a good or bad thing for the UK or the EU.

This film will still make sense and we will wonder how the hell we put up with all that Euro shit for so long. Wife will still be moaning about not transferring all money before pound was at 42, another kunt like Theresa useless May will be in charge, wogs will still be killing themselves to get into UK for all the freebies.
