    I think I'm turning gay...

    There, I've said it.

I'm so sick of Win10, my startup time getting soooo long, everything soooo slow, opening more than one tab on the internet locking up the computer, updates when I don't fukingwell want them - I did a presentation today, but the computer wasn't working, no problem I thought, I'll use me laptop - Windows Update - took 45 minutes, fuked up me presentation...

So, I'm thinking about getting an iApple laptop thingy.

There, I've said it. I'm out...

I will never ditch the goats!

But, will you iAppletards tell me: do the iApple laptops regularly update and slow down and cause similar issues to the one stated above, or do the iApple laptops generally work ok?

Also, I just bought a 2GB WD My Passport Ultra - would that work on an iApple too?

Can't you turn updates off with Windows 10?
Or just disconnect it from the Internet when doing presentations?

Can you get pink iApples in Korea?

I was on wifi, which I needed, but the fuker had already downloaded itself and did the update upon restart - I could do nothing!

I jumped out of the Microsoft closet in 2006 and never looked back. My MacBook I bought back then is still running, although with a new 500 GB hard drive and no battery. Using SuperDuper, installing the new drive and the old boot software was a quick and fun experience. (Try that with a Windows melt down.) I have 3 Mac Mini's right now and they are a good value.

My only complaint is that the recent operating systems are starting to approach Microsoft in complexity. I don't need to do anything more than I did ten years ago, but the operating system has grown 100X in complexity. Oh well . . .

I tested the waters with the free Win10 upgrade on my media centre laptop which I only use for TV and movies.

Seemed OK so I let my main workstation do the update. Both were previously Win7.

If you are careful you can turn off all the cloud hooks and MS snooping stuff.

So far I am kind of liking it.

The Windows Update service is set to Manual but it has brackets (trigger start). Don't know what that means but it did a big update today without asking so not sure what the score is with controlling updates.

^ I don't think you can control updates, certainly not all of them.

    ^^ Good stuff, thanks, Trailazer.

windozzz is for plebs and boring geeks. Get yourself a machine with a decent OS or at least linux. Windows 7 is not bad, after that downhill bloatware again with loads of stuff you don't need and can't seem to turn off or delete, it's nowhere near as good as Mac OS. Just don't use safari, not much better than that other Microsoft turd explorer.

Somehow we have never met Betty but a few of the lads say you come across as a bit effeminate like.

I must say Bobcock comes across as being far more gay with his dressing rooms stories but he is Welsh and his sexual preference is always going to be questionable.

Anyway spew your guts, let it all out and enjoy your new Korean boyfriend.........n

You don't need one to impress goats, but for posing while hinting at your newly discovered metrosexuality - indispensable, I'd say.

Yeah, for me it started gently suggesting to upgrade "while it's free", then got more and more insistent and often, and finally it gave me 3 choices: Upgrade now, in two hours, or in 8 hours.
So I was sorta forced into it....although retrospectively, I wonder if I did not agree to the terms of use if it would have left me alone. That may be your only choice when push comes to shove.
I asked around and read reviews and nobody said it would slow my machine down, but I'm getting the same unsatisfactory results as Boo.
There's something always "working" as my cursor goes into the little "busy" circle loop for a few seconds every few seconds. I think it's to do with the Cloud, but not sure.
Stay away from it if you can....perhaps there'll be a Beta version soon.

Disconnecting cloud and win 10 hassles is quite easy, just google.
I also disconnected all updates for windows, pain in the arse, inconvenient.
