    Clinton arrested for drink driving...

    Mr Clinton that is.

Not that Mr Clinton, his brother.

Not interesting? I thought the same, but I found this part interesting:

It is not the first time Mr Clinton has been a source of embarrassment to his brother and sister-in-law.
He was arrested for drink driving in 2001. He was pardoned in the same year by his brother on his last day in office as president, for a 1980s drug conviction.

Unethical? I'd say so, but then again not a lot of ethics in politics or US politics and noneatall in the family Clinton...

No-one's ever been able to moan about pardons that insignificant since Ford let Nixon off the hook.

^^ the point being, of all the people that deserved the President's time and deserved a pardon, he just decided to help some family scroat instead - my point being, that this sums up the Clintons; self-serving money makers - they have zero integrity or ethics or intent on helping anybody but themselves. Now, I also added the terms 'politicians' and 'US politicians' to add some context, and, no, that doesn't make it alright...

Not really - Bill was being very decent in helping his brother and taking responsibility for his role in his brothers cocaine addiction; being that as Bill was involved in the importation of $100m of coke a year through Mena Arkansas, and himself had a nose like a dyson, with the money laundered through the Arkansas Development Fund, with the Legal stuff deon through Rose Law firm (Hillary worked there with her lover Vince Foster... who was murdered by the Clintons...)

...it was only right that he helped his brother.

    Well done

Outgoing Presidential pardons are an individual perk.

He pardoned 456 during his presidency.

I think you'll find every President does favours.

    You're whining over nothing.

In fact you're being a big fat Clinton-hating crybaby.

Wow - does he sell his pardons?

Thank you for highlighting this scam, 'Arry. Let's look in a bit more detail: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o..._United_States

Incredibly shameful how these presidents are cleansing their own personal business dealings, those of powerful/rich business associates, government departments (lots of FBI/CIA type folk being pardoned).

Some are miscarriages of justice, but lots of dirty stuff going on here... makes prayuth look like an amateur.

Democratic President William J. Clinton pardoned, commuted or rescinded the convictions of 459 people during his term.[15] Among them are:

Roger Clinton, Jr. – brother of Bill Clinton. After serving a year in federal prison for cocaine possession.
Almon Glenn Braswell – convicted of mail fraud and perjury; pardoned
Patty Hearst – Bank robbery. Prison term commuted by Jimmy Carter. She was released from prison in 1979. She was fully pardoned by Clinton in 2001.
Marc Rich, Pincus Green – business partners; indicted by U.S. Attorney on charges of tax evasion and illegal trading with Iran.
Dan Rostenkowski – Democrat from Illinois. Served his entire sentence, then pardoned.
Fife Symington III – Republican Governor of Arizona convicted of bank fraud; pardoned.[21]
Susan McDougal – partners with Bill Clinton and Hillary Rodham Clinton in the failed Whitewater deal. Guilty of contempt of court, she served her entire sentence and was then pardoned.
Henry Cisneros – Clinton's Secretary of Housing and Urban Development. Pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor count for lying to the FBI, and was fined $10,000.
Edward Downe, Jr. – wire fraud, filing false income tax returns, and securities fraud; pardoned
Elizam Escobar – seditious conspiracy; pardoned
Samuel Loring Morison – espionage and theft of government property; pardoned
Mel Reynolds – Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives.
Henry O. Flipper – The first black West Point cadet was found guilty of "conduct unbecoming an officer" in 1882.
John Deutch – Director of Central Intelligence, former Provost and University Professor, MIT
Rick Hendrick – NASCAR Team Owner & Champion; convicted of mail fraud; pardoned
FALN – commuted the sentences of 16 members of FALN, a violent Puerto Rican terrorist group that set off 120 bombs in the United States, mostly in New York City and Chicago. The 16 were convicted of conspiracy and sedition and sentenced with terms ranging from 35 to 105 years in prison.
Lyle Prouse - Pilot convicted of flying drunk

^ I am bothered by those things, the entire pardoning process is swathed in corruption and cronyism.

You make good points Bb, and I agree with everything you say, but you have described 99.9% of people in a position of power, anywhere in the world.
If it were you or I in the same position we would be probably help more deserving people who actually qualified for a pardon, but we would also be handing them out to family and friends like ekkys at a rave party.
