    Thailand, Hub of Justice...

BANGKOK, 1 June 2016 (NNT) - The Thailand Institute of Justice (TIJ) is planning to turn Thailand into an ASEAN hub of justice affairs, after joining the United Nations Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Program Network (PNI) last week.
?????????????????? : Thailand to become ASEAN hub of justice affairs

&, from the same article, they promise:

The TIJ will incorporate international guidelines into the Thai justice system for greater transparency, allowing independent watchdogs to probe its integrity.

Will they start with article 44?
How do I post these pictures???

They are quite fond of their hubs.

Maybe they could become the hub of hubs ?

We live in parlous times when evil is good, what is dirty, decrepit and bereft of any ethical worth is lauded as paragons of virtue and the devils become the angels.

Thai justice is perhaps the definitive oxymoron.

Yeah, the two guys from Koh Tao can be the poster boys. The monk from the big UFO can do the commercials, and the cops can talk about their anti-corruption work. Who in the world thinks up this stuff? Geeez....

I don't even know how to respond .....

It's obvious Thailand's justice system sees itself one way and basically the rest of the world and most Thais see it another way.

I'm sure its the other 99% of the world that's got the wrong impression of the justice system here.

The TIJ will incorporate international guidelines into the Thai justice system for greater transparency, allowing independent watchdogs to probe its integrity. The TIJ will also prepare Thailand to become a hub for a strategic movement to stop crimes against women and children, as well as to promote social unity.

    social unity = justice?

Ahh, the cynic in me has just kicked in. Now I understand. Jail anyone who doesn't bend to the will of he who must be obeyed.

If you look at the biographies of the board members, it's wall to wall khon dee, all climbing on the gravy train so that they can rail against corruption some more.

Who in the world thinks up this stuff?
The grim collection of authoritarians, conservatives, reactionaries and fascists who have captured the Thai state. That's obvious, no?

The Thai version is just less sophisticated, and on a lesser budget.
