The incident allegedly occurred around January 23 in Glasgow, where CJ was out with two male friends.
The clever quiz show star was questioned by police after five hours being held in a cell, and CJ alleges that the BBC dropped him from Eggheads the following day.
The 46-year-old believes the BBC have it out for him after he claimed that
he was not allowed to compete on Strictly because he wanted to dance with another man. A source said: "He has seen his life and finances completely collapse. He's got nothing left. He feels that the BBC have hung him out to dry.
"He thinks his career is over and is demanding an apology from the police and the BBC."
De Mooi also claims he was banned from competing in the Corporation's celeb London Marathon because of the police questioning.
